5 out of 5 stars Beautifully Deep   December 6, 2008
Delreco E. Harris (Jackson, MS USA)
Honestly when I first listened to the cd, I did not like it, but it was not because it sounded bad, but it was because I had others with me that were pointing out the differences as if they were negatives, as a result clouding my artistic judgement. As a matter of fact I am finishing up listening to the cd as I type this comment. This time I'm alone. As an artist, i love the album. Sure there are some things that could be worked on, but the solution only comes from finishing the first project, and getting the first album gitters and excitement out. This album truly reflects his passion for music, and his amazing understanding of music. The arrangements are amazing. I personally love the fact that the tracks are so different from one to another. The album is all over the place, and that is exactly what makes it beautiful to me. I sometimes do the exact same, as a matter of fact, I've released a Gospel album, RB album, and a Rap album lol. Sometimes we need to be out of order to get in order.

5 out of 5 stars NICE !   November 26, 2008
A. HUBBARD (PLANET EARTH)
THIS IS SOOTHE JAZZ YOU CAN CHILL TO , I MUST ADMIT I WAS ALITTLE SURPRISED BY TERRANCE AND HIS VOCAL ABILITIES , THE CRITICS ARE WAY OFF BASE, THIS IS HIS FIRST ALBUM , AND WHILE THE ALBUM COULD FLOW BETTER , THE PASSION IS THERE AND COMES THRU, HE WILL ONLY GET BETTER , I JUST HOPE HE DOESNT SUCCUMB TO PRESSURE TO SELL , PLEASE NO RAP INTERLUDES !

4 out of 5 stars Love It!   November 20, 2008
Zdiva (MA)
There are a few questionable songs but overall I love it. I think Howard is getting an undue bum rap simply because he is an actor (turned singer). I read that he was a singer/songwriter prior to acting. People should just listen to the music and not compare it to current trite R B.

3 out of 5 stars Not blown away, but....   November 12, 2008
Manigyrl Kytten (Altadena, Ca)
I've always known that Terrence could play piano and guitar, but had no idea that he "sang" too. I actually bought the CD on the premise of it being an instrumental/jazz fare. Hearing him sing was weird to me, it was very unexpected. I agree with most of the posters that his vocal stylings aren't that great, but they aren't THAT bad either. Like someone else said "Practice makes perfect". I think he just needs to find his niche if he is going to continue to sing. Instrumentally-speaking, the CD is good. I like the Bossa Nova, and big band sounds on this, and "Spanish Love Affair" really showcases his guitar-playing. I do, however, love "War". Somehow, his way of singing and the music, meshed very well together on that cut. So all was not lost.

3 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings   November 11, 2008

This album is an interesting mix of good and bad. Howard fails as a vocalist, but shines on guitar. His lyrics tend to be cheesy, so the best tracks are the instrumentals. Overall, it's an OK album, but you have to wait until about halfway through until it gets any good.
