If you were challenged to name five rock albums that epitomized the '70s, iFrampton Comes Alive!/i should probably top the list. Former Humble Pie guitarist Peter Frampton recorded a few perfectly fine albums with his band Frampton's Camel, but it wasn't until some of those tracks were recorded at a live performance in San Francisco and released as iFrampton Comes Alive!/i that he became a household name. Buoyant pop, sentimental ballads, arena rock--this album has it all. The double-LP package set sales records and contained three bona fide radio hits ("Baby, I Love Your Way," "Show Me the Way," and "Do You Feel Like We Do?"), one of which, shockingly enough, was over 14 minutes long. No wonder that, to many, the two-and-a-half-minute songs of the Damned and the Sex Pistols felt like a breath of fresh air a year or two later. i--Lorry Fleming/i

5 out of 5 stars Classic   November 23, 2008

This stands the test of time and is truly one if not the best live album ever made. With a mix of the overall genre of Rock music Frampton captures the mood of the seventy's perfectly. br /His use of the voice box and the guitar solos is forever captured when he was at his prime with this record. br /What can i say, I love it!

1 out of 5 stars Absolutely Felt Ripped Off   November 16, 2008

All that was sent was Volume 2, which meant I did not get the first side of the album (Baby I Love Your Way, side one, was what my wife wanted). No follow up by seller at all and Amazon just said they were sorry. My first bad experience with Amazon, but it truly stunk -

This album is amazing. I'm only 23, so this music is way before my time (I never even heard of Peter Frampton until 2005). I kept hearing it's one of the best selling live albums ever, and after hearing it, it's for a darn good reason. The production quality is crystal clear, the songs are classics, and it's just a blast to listen to over and over! Everyone should own this album for it truly stands the test of time.
