a lifesaver! November 6, 2008 David's Mom as a new mom, i quickly realized that i had no idea what the words to some of my favorite childhood songs were (trust me, you realize as soon as you try to console your baby that you have no idea what you are singing). i researched cds to play in the background while i diapered and played with my son. this one had some mixed reviews, but for four cds and a low price, i decided to go with it. my son and i LOVE these cds! he loves the childrens' voices in the songs, i love that they are short and easy to memorize (especially on repeat all day long!). we now keep one in the car for longer road trips and/or for times when he gets fussy. overall, it is one of my favorite baby purchases.
101? October 24, 2008 Tim Love the songs. My son knows all the words. Great for long trips. One grip, is disc 1 has 27 songs, disc 2 has 22 songs, disc 3 has 27 songs, disc 4 has 23 songs, my math equals 99, not 101.
It's for CHILDREN! June 24, 2008 T. Davis (MI) Okay, if I were looking for a CD of music that I enjoy I would not buy this. However, this collection of music is a purchase for my 18 month old daughter - and she LOVES it! br / br /She especially loves hearing the children sing...yes, bad pronunciation and all. What children don't love to hear other children??? I'm not sure what another reviewer was listening to that made her feel the children on the CD's were not enjoying themselves. The children I heard seemed to be having a ball. br / br /The entire collection of songs seem to be very upbeat and fun, without being obnoxious or overdone. Like many other reviewers' children, my daughter has memorized many of the songs. She also loves to flip through her Mother Goose book to find the Nursery Rhyme that goes with some of the songs. (Ba Ba Black Sheep, for example) br / br /I also find it's much easier to participate with the music on this CD than some others I've heard. My daughter and I are always inspired to dance and sing along. You really can't go wrong with this purchase.
Can't find a traditional children's song CD ANYWHERE!!!! May 25, 2008 puma (Copenhagen Denmark) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Song-wise, this looks like the perfect children's CD with all the traditional favorites. But the "various artists" tag is, unfortunately, misleading. One (or maybe two) women sing nearly all the songs, with a child singing a couple, I think. br / br /why is it SO hard to find a CD with traditional children's classics (Old Macdonald, Bingo, etc.) all performed by different artists AND not "jazzed up" or with a full-kit band? It's for my 3-month-old, for crise-sakes!!!!
My CD players can't play it April 25, 2008 Maria D 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have cheap, "kids-proof" music system, and it would not play these CDs! This is the first disc my kids can't play. br / br /Most likely, copy protection, that my simple system does not support. br / br /No problem playing it on PC - but that was not an intention. br / br /
