Editorial Reviews:

Soprano/tenor saxophonist and clarinetist Marion Meadows comes from the smooth jazz sax tradition paved by Grover Washington, Jr. and George Howard. Though his sound is not a full as those two, he makes up for it with his lyricism, which imbues the twelve tracks here. Highlights include the "down-low" quiet-storm track "Miss Know it All," with vocalist Will Brock, "Dance With My Daughter," Meadows' companion piece to Luther Vandross' "Dance With My Father,""and his engaging cover of R. Kelley's "I Believe I Can Fly." The lively "Steppers...Let's Do This" is a high-energy salute to the disco-house dance genre from Chicago. With production by keyboardists Michael Broening and Chris "Big Dog" Davis and some instrumental support from guitarists Chuck Loeb and Freddy Fox, this recording is the right fit for Marion Meadows' contemporary fans. i--Eugene Holley, Jr./i

5 out of 5 stars Chilling Experience   January 26, 2008

Marion Meadows has become my favorite sax man. His unique style sets him apart from the rest. Dressed to Chill is another in a long line of great cds by Marion. "Coco Flow" and "Just my Style" are favorites that display his uniqueness. "Miss Know It All" is pure funk. It's a must have for smooth jazz lovers.

WOW! This artist is a happy discovery for me, thanks to other reviews on Amazon plus a sampling of the tunes. The CD arrived a few weeks ago and quickly became my "new favorite"--it's playing all the time in my household these days. This is very sexy, smooth jazz which is a hit not only with me, but with my teenagers. Can you believe it? Mr. Meadows provided background music for a dinner party one night, and those guests loved the CD, too. We'll be adding more of his music to our collections!

This is an great CD with the title cut just delicious, but the reason this peice of music really shines is the tunes under the title like, Mz.know it all. If you don't have a good time with this CD,Consult your physician! (smile)
