Product Description
Who knows what you want for Christmas better than Mannheim Steamroller? br brHere at Christmas HQ, we've hit the right note every holiday season since 1985. This Christmas, we're serving a mix of nostalgia (Where Are You Christmas?) and flat-out fun (You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch! And 'Humbugs'!br br'Christmasville' is the album the whole family will listen to as you travel over the river and through the woods this season! br brThis record was born out of a once-in-a-lifetime project: Universal Theme Parks commissioned Chip Davis to create music WITH vocals-- for a holiday show called 'Grinchmas'. Thus, for the first time, you'll hear Mannheim Steamroller with voice as the final instrument

Album Description

1 out of 5 stars will not buy this album   December 1, 2008

I read the reviews and have heard the samples of the music. In all honesty I can't buy this album. Chip, I enjoy going to your Christmas Concerts when you are in my area (Orange County Ca.). Your music is unique, but I can't see myself going to your Christmas concert if all you play is the music from your new album. Chip, Don't feel you have to make another album because it has been a while since you had a new album. I can wait for the true Chip Davis Mannheim Steamroller music. I will keep playing your Christmas music (except the new one) forever. I can wait for a truly magical album. You done it before, and I know you can do it again..Always be true to your self and never sell yourself short.

The first two were brilliant. br / br /This CD is simply a rip-off, trying to ride 15 years coattails since Fresh Aire. Save your money

My favorite Christmas music came from some of their earlier work. And even with some wordiness in some CD's, I kept the faith. But this is more than a disappointment. I feel like someone is milking a reputation. A fanfare? Try about a half a thought of one! Where did the steam for this group go? I learned my lesson on this disaster. No more Mannheim Steamroller for me!

Chip, I really hope that this is truly a #34;once in a lifetime#34; experience for you. I'm praying you can get your health problems behind you and give us a better Christmas Present next year. This will join my collection of (I think) every album you've done, but it won't receive much playtime.

1 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY Rip Off   November 26, 2008

If you love Mannheim Steamroller like my family and I do, avoid this album at all costs! There is only one Mannheim Steamroller performed song on it and it belongs with Chip's other greats. The rest are a bunch of Universal Studios singers with non-Mannheim Steamroller music behind them. Chip may have produced this for universal but he made sure that none of the songs(except Messengers of Christmas) even remotely sound like the Steamroller. I wasted $20.00 and will never play it again!
