 Excellent Mood Music with unique rainstorm background May 11, 2008

I am updating my LP's to CD's and have to have this series by the Mystic Moods Orchestra.
They take movie themes, love songs, and popular melodies, play them in a full orchestra setting and dub in parts of a freak four hour thunderstorm over Los Angeles. Brad Miller included various sounds of trains to enhance the audio experience.
Fine music, great effects with a real "Man and a Woman" quality.

Now this is the ultimate in sensual music. When I heard this album many years ago, it swept me away. Thunderstorms have always calmed me and made me feel I was in a world of my own and this music, so sensual, makes me feel as if I am drifting into a warm romantic dream. It's the feel good music of all times. You will definitely not be disappointed, from the first song throughout, it a mood maker for sure.
Finally found One Stormy Night!!! January 8, 2008
Back in the 60's I heard this on vinyl. I had borrowed it from a friend so I recorded it to cassette. Of course, the cassette broke and I finally found it here on Amazon for download. Music for us from the 60's is hard to find. Thank You Amazon
Beautiful and Soothing November 11, 2007
I've listened to the Mystic Moods Orchestra since they produced their first albums on LP vinyl many years ago. I still have about 5 of their albums in storage. I was very pleased to find that most of their work has been re-released on CD. I now have One Stormy Night, Stormy Weekend and Nighttide on CD and plan to purchase more through Amazon until I have the complete collection. Absolutely the most beautiful and soothing sounds I've ever heard. So realistic....it puts you right there where it's happening.

I purchased this way back when on a 33 1/3 record and had always wanted to get the CD of it. Listening to the CD brought back all the old memories of how relaxing and great the music was. I think the recording level could have been better as much of the time you are only listening to the rain fall and when some of the orchestra selections begin it is nearly impossible to hear it without turning the sound up (then down).
Still, a great CD!!
