It's trash, but it's Ifun/I trash, in which a hotshot Los Angeles cop named Brian (Paul Walker) infiltrates a gang of street racers suspected of fencing stolen goods from hijacked trucks. The gang leader is Dom (Vin Diesel), ex-con and reigning king of the street racers, who lives for those 10 seconds of freedom when his high-performance "rice rocket" (a highly modified Asian import) hurtles toward another quarter-mile victory. Racing is street theater for a lawless youth subculture, and Dom is a star behind the wheel--charismatic, dangerous, and protective toward his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster), who's attracted to Brian as the newest member of Dom's car-crazy team.p Director Rob Cohen treats this like Roman tragedy for MTV junkies, pushing every scene to adrenaline-pumping extremes; when his camera isn't caressing a spectrum of nitrous oxide-enhanced dream machines, it's ogling countless slim 'n' sexy race babes. The undercover-cop scenario cheaply borrows the split-loyalty theme perfected in IDonnie Brasco/I; a rival Asian gang adds mystery and menace; and digital trickery is cleverly employed to explore the fuel-injected innards of the day-glo racecars. This movie is sweet. Do not expect this movie to be a cinematic classic, it is fun, just because that is what it was made for. Entertaining and the extra features on the HD disc are cool too. It has nice rides and excellent racing scenes. Aside from most movie crticism, it is fun to watch with friends.

The Fast and the Furious is not too bad. The plot line is predictable but is presented in a way that makes it entertaining. There are some scenes that are not believable and could have been better. The most glaring are the robbery scenes. It is just a miss match that is so obvious the director ignores until the end of the film. The acting of Pawl Walker as Brian O'Conner and Vin Diesel as Domminic Toretto are not bad. There are few difficult scenes that will make you wince but overall it is workable. The chase scenes are generally good but the opening scenes is painful to watch. It just does not appear plausible and does not make much sense. Overall, not bad

This movie has been a great inspiration to my daily life. After watching this film years ago it encouraged me to buy a 93 Honda Civic, put a NOS sticker on it, and buy a 6 inch wide muffler tip! Boy oh boy did my car get some Serious Horse power. br / br /But anyways on to the movie, Vin Diesel does a fine job just like his other masterpieces like XXX and the one with football and some little girl. The rest of the cast is phenomenal, the plot is excellent. Too bad they showed a lot of the Dodge Charger, boy do I hate that car! br / br /I think ALL classic cars are slow, stupid looking, and have NO power at all. If you want real power in a car get a Mitsubishi, Toyota, Honda, or Nissan. I'm so glad we don't have to deal with UGLY cars anymore like the 69 Camaro, 76 Trans Am, and 74 Nova.

Paul Walker's undercover cop infiltrates Vin Diesel's illegal car racing crew to try and find out who is behind a spate of truck hijackings. If you are a speed freak you will love this film and the cars are very snazzy as are the action sequences. The plot isn't up to much but this kind of film is more spectacle than anything else. Brainless but fun. br /
