This is one of my all time favourite television series and to be able to pick it up for 60% off the msrp of $419.98 has made me a very happy camper! $169.99 is a steal!

Upon initial viewing of the star rating for this, it looked like something was horribly wrong. I suppose that, yes, the original price was horrendous. But Amazon, listening to its customers, had an amazing 60% off sale, so I picked it up for LESS than the sale price of $19.99 per season, AND I also get the Movie included, plus all the original bonus materials from original set releases.
NOW this set is amazingly priced - who knows how long it will last. But 61 DVDs and over 9000 minutes of entertainment for $169 is a deal I simply CAN NOT pass up.

This set includes the entire X-files series, as well as the first movie and a documentary. There are also a few things like a comic book and trading cards thrown in for those who like that sort of thing. The first few seasons are in full-screen, but that's because that's how they were filmed. While obviously this isn't something to get if you already own a few seasons, it is good value if you're starting from scratch and want the whole series. A previous reviewer mentioned getting individual seasons for under $20 - I've rarely seen them under $50, so by my count getting this set saved me about 50%.

Don't get caught: it's the same thing as the Complete Collection, except Amazon.ca charges 100$ more. If you look on Amazon.com as well as other websites, you will see there is only one edition of the complete X-Files box set.

Why would anyone buy this box set!!!
You can buy the individual seasons for 19.99 most places!! for a total of $180.00. Why on earth would you wanna pay this ridiculous price??
