It supplies the information on health everyone should have January 13, 2008 10 out of 22 found this review helpful
Michael Roizen helps you learn how your body works and how to get in touch with it. The only criticism I have of the book is that Roizen advocates a special diet, rather than focusing on what your body tells you what it needs. None the less, This book is your own owners manual for your own body. To be healthy you have to understand all of the various bodily functions, not just the dogmatic views other books discuss, and what you need to do to keep everything running smoothly and remain and maintain a healthy state.
Michael Roizen supplies us with relevant information, dispels myths and gives us real, no-nonsense advice about our bodies and makes you pay attention, understand and make choices. You; provides the necessary information in simple terms as a guide to take care of your body from your internal organs point of view. It tells you the type of food that will help your body run well. The main focus is the heart and digestive system which I've found to be tremendously helpful. Very well written and put together. It supplies the information on health everyone should have.

This book, along with all the other "You" manuals are the best. Over the years I've tired of the self-help "here's how to build a better you" types, but these are different. Fresh and exciting, Roizen and Oz have created the perfect book. Great job, guys.
Amazing Book November 11, 2007 3 out of 10 found this review helpful
Have you longed for a book that seems magical? Have you quietly as you watch the years past by and so increased your wrinkled face and withered body, that you had some cure or way to prevent this wasting away of life? If so, you need this self-help book. It has some truly self-help and educational revelation for the young and the old and just about anyone. The authors, medical doctors have done it once again! Great work.

Great Information! November 7, 2007 19 out of 47 found this review helpful
This is one of the better books that I have read and it really challenges you to think differently about your body; how each system runs, how they interact and how they can be maximized. At best this book will help you live a better, more productive life. At worst it's a very intriguing read! And now I'm going back to read one of my favorites "Understanding: Train of Thought".
It's all about YOU November 6, 2007 29 out of 65 found this review helpful
While I normally stick to a tried and true bestseller or book that everyone's reading, you know classics like TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD or J.McCrae's KATZENJAMMER, I chose this book instead, mainly because Ive been having problems with dementia in my family. I was worried that it might carry over to me, and, after reading this book, I feel MUCH better. YOU: STAYING YOUNG is a must for anyone afraid of getting the A word or something like it. Anyone over forty will want to read this great book on how to survive senior moments and more. YOU: STAYING YOUNG, is not so much about staying young as it is about staying sane and not worrying so much.
