5 out of 5 stars Just great!!!   November 21, 2007

It is a great book with beautiful illustrations. Really funny. I loved the way Stephanie outmaneuvered all the other kids at the end of the story. The only other book that I had so much fun with was the second book of the series "Why Some Cats are Rascals". Especially the third part of the book titled Cats Alone.

Stephanie's Ponytail is a comical picture book that children in the primary grades would find entertaining. All children will be able to relate to Stephanie, who finds that her classmates want to copy all of her hairstyles. The illustrations are vibrant and laughable. The details in the illustrations add plot to the story and will intrigue readers. The text is written in a fun, light-hearted way and is sure to get a laugh. This book can be used to embrace the idea of being different and the importance of individualtity in a variety of classrooms.

My 7 & 5 yr old girls thought this book was very funny and could relate to Stephanie's frustration with all the copycats. Stephanie's different ponytail styles added to the fun since we tried them all once we were done reading (and laughing).

I think that this is the coolest book. Stephanie goes to school everyday with a different hair style and the next day everyone copies her. I love this book and I think the ending is so hilarious.

4 out of 5 stars Stephanies Ponytail   June 6, 2003
I liked this book. It was nice. I have often felt like Stephanie did in this book. People always make fun of things and then they go and copy them. Maybe it is just part of growing up. I have found that people sometimes make fun of the things that they are scared of.
