Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny: Final Plus ~ The Chosen Future brings closures to the series. February 12, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've watched this OVA online, and it was very emotional and exciting to me. In a particular scene, when Athrun and Shinn were fighting each other in a mortal combat, Athrun said a very emotional statement to Shinn, "Destroying everything like this...! Even the future...! Is this really the world which you've desired? Or the Power that you've desired?"
That really touched my heart, since I always feel that people often fight and destroy each other for power, greed and glory, which eventually no one will win. Thereafter, when Shinn charged at Athrun head on, Lunamaria Hawke interpose between the two, because she felt torn about losing her friends and family in a meaningless war; however, Shinn disregarded Lunamaria's plea, since he was in SEED mode, which shocked Lunamria. But thanks to Athrun's timely intervention, all sides were safe.
In the final scene, where the main characters were assembling at the Orb War Memorial, there was a great closure between Kira Yamato and Shinn Asuka, who finally reconcile with each other...
All in all, this is a great ova, I'd like to give 5 out of five stars for its great drama!
