Excellent ! True cartoony cartoons! October 14, 2008

I've loved these cartoons since i was first introduced to them in animation history class. They are great fun, beautifully animated and very innovative. When Disney was making some beautiful but boring ( lets face it) short films trying to make things look "real"...the Fleischers took the other road and embraced the cartoon world.
They used innovative techniques such as building 3d dimensional model sets and placed them on a turn table to create 3D backgrounds years ahead of the computer age. Their use of music and sound is excellent and the characters are appealing and sillyteh result is loads of fun.
If you love cartoons then I highly recommend POPEY. A real cartoonist's cartoon!
