2 out of 5 stars Bah... no secret here...   January 26, 2008

This is a documentary trying to make you believe there is a "secret" about how to attract and obtain more positive things happen to you in your daily life told by certain individuals such as authors, actors, mathematicians, visionaries, doctors, scientists, religious characters and some that apparently experienced "The Secret"... ok if you want to believe everything said in this video. The 2 stars are for certain of the individuals being interviewed to make us believe such a thing because they are truthfully entertaining, plus you want to listen until the end just to see how much BS they can really talk about in 90 minutes. My last words are that I'm thankful I didn't pay for this infomercial!

1 out of 5 stars the secret   October 29, 2007

I got hooked on the secret for long while, I spent a ton of money on law of attraction books and cd's. But after a long while of trying this out nothing came to pass, it's a fairytale cd. I wish I had all that time and money back I wasted on this.

2 out of 5 stars NOTHING compared to the original   May 25, 2007

This new "extended version" which EXCLUDES Esther Hicks speaking for Abraham is nowhere near as profound as the original version. They basically take out all the parts with Esther and get Lisa Nichols to try and convey the same concepts, which she does... quite poorly. Not to discredit Lisa Nichols, but she is trying to speak for Abraham and not from herself and her own ideas which in the end comes out unclear and uninspiring. Although I am grateful for The Secret, this version has lost it's impact that the original had, it sounds so hokey now and although it will easily help to assist the already believers of the law of attraction, it doesn't stand a chance of inspiring the skeptics.

Buy - The Secret Behind "The Secret" - with Esther and Jerry Hicks instead. I don't care who you are, that will blow your hair back.

3 out of 5 stars infomercial?   May 19, 2007

Most of what is said in this film, has already been said in "what the bleep do we know".

"The Secret" is like one long running infomercial. The Producers 'manifested" this for their own profit & gain. Why didnt they simply give this information away if its such a miracle?

And what about manifesting world peace & human equality? Instead of new cars & vacations...

4 out of 5 stars There's More To The Story   May 7, 2007

The Secret is one of the best produced and edited DVDs of its kind that I have ever seen. And the line-up of teachers and presenters is top-notch. There is only one reason I give this DVD four stars instead of five. The Secret is about the Law of Attraction, and how we can use that Law to "attract" into our lives anything we want. But it spends 95% of the time talking only about being focused on what you want (rather than what you don't want), and generating positive feelings about that. It only spends 5% of the time making it clear that what we really attract into our lives is the people, circumstances, and opportunities that lead us to what we want. In other words, when we utilize the principles mentioned in The Secret, doors open. But we have to recognize those doors for what they are and go through them. And that involves action. Many people who watch The Secret walk away with the impression that visualization and positive feelings is all it takes. It isn't. You still have to do something. As long as you keep that in mind, The Secret contains information that can be life altering. Enjoy!
