5 out of 5 stars Well worth the wait   April 12, 2008

This is Maiden at their peak. This is awesome. The sound is high quality. Steve Harris is on a different level. Video is in 4:3 format and is a bit grainy, but couldn't be any better for 1985. The video editing is A+ and the band's performance gets top marks. It leaves you wondering how it was humanly possible for these guys to play so many shows at such an intense level. The bonus disc is entertaining too. Lots of good interviews, a great look at how appreciated they were by the Polish fans, and an offering of an epic show in Brazil which suffers from poor quality but demonstrates how huge the band was in an archival kind of way. Highly recommended.

What a concert! I bought this on VHS back in the 80's and I was blown away then! Twenty years later it still ROCKS!! This was Iron Maiden at their peak, and every fan should have this in their collection - nobody puts off shows like this anymore.

5 out of 5 stars Metal waves   March 1, 2008

5 out of 5 stars Great product from a great band   February 9, 2008

Once again Iron Maiden has provided us with a good product. The first disc is the performance at Long Beach Arena in 1985 during the World Slavery Tour. Both the video and the sound quality are perfect. While the set is the same as on the CD version, the video was not recorded on the same night as the audio tracks for the album so it does not feel like watching something you heard dozens of time. In my opinion however the most interesting part will be the second disk on which you get most importantly an hour long documentary on the making of the album Powerslave and the subsquent touring.

I suggest this DVD to anyone already a fan of the band as well as to anyone who just want to discover a fantastic live band at the height of their performance and stageshow.
