Short finale to a great series... November 28, 2006

Your probably wondering why such a small box set. As a fan since this series was orginally aired it's a long story. If your new to LFN then it's just confusing. Original timeline was for the series to end at the end of season 4. The show was slated for a cancellation. So if you have watched season 4, you can see a demise of characters, plots thining out and characters die or be killed off. This started a protest from us the fans, in which fans sent the studio broken TV's. shoes. And after a lengthy campaign they revived the series for 8 episodes, this being this DVD box set. The hitch, not all characters could be afforded to come back. br / br /Nikita basically returns to find the truth about her father, and claims the throne of section 1. This 8 episode season is more a bravado for the true fans, more about making appearances (an espisode of a computer generated Madelaine) and who really is behind oversight. br / br /Also a dusting off of stars like Edward Woodward (the Equalizer), making apperances of talked about characters. All in all if you have all the seasons DVD's and are a true fan then this is the end cap. But if you new to Nikita and just watching the series then you can see why it was ending on Season 4. It paved the way for ALIAS ( an obvious NIKITA rip-off) and the creating of 24 (same creators). Short, but really pointless to the overall series.
