3 out of 5 stars Not very fun.   April 30, 2008

I'm not into bootcamp-style workouts or running because they seem like torture. Fun, innovative choreography, good production values, and strong leadership make exercising enjoyable and rewarding for me. I have two of Michelle Dozois' workouts and I find she is always sort of hurried. I do think her focus is on intensity, but surely that could be paired with making things enjoyable? Some of these ten minute segments are fun, but some are more like work. It is relatively intense, and so provides a solid workout for high intermediates like myself, but by the end (doing the whole DVD at once) I was getting tired enough that her choreography became annoying and I didn't have the energy or interest to give 100%. I did it, but it was purely due to will power. I don't mind working hard--beyond my comfort zone--but when you get tired, the cardio has to be simple enough that you can follow easily and avoid slacking off. By the end of a tough workout, you should feel good and shouldn't be counting the minutes or dreading the next choreography sequence. Not the case with Michelle.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent!!   August 14, 2007

My favorite workout DVD by far! It really gets your heart rate up in only 10 minutes! The moves are fun and EASY to follow (i didn't need to pause it to figure out any moves) but you still work up a sweat! The instructor is excellent, not annoying, and gives great cues. A little warm-up/cool-down and stretching is included at the start and finish of the workouts. I look forward to exercising with this DVD every time!

I loved this DVD because if you only have 10 mins or feel like doing 10 mins you get a really good workout and feel like you've actually done something! I like the layout, just one woman, no posers smiling away in the background! Really gets you moving and the instructor really pushes you and motivates you! A definite buy!

This is a great workout. It gets the heart going without causing you to lose your breath. There is a lot of fun moves and I never get bored because I can do different segments in different orders each time I use it. It really works the whole body.
