When I first heard that Sarah McLachlan and Nettwerk Records had plans to re-release Mirrorball in its entirely I was delighted. Unlike the previous Mirrorball Live album released in 1999, "Mirrorball: The Complete Concert" features every song sung by Sarah during her tour, amounting to 23 songs total in a elegantly presented two disc collection. It is also comprised from a single performance; her last in Portland Oregon, unlike the original 1999 release which was taken from various concert performances during her tour. Perhaps the most notable element to this new release are the added tracks from Sarah's first two albums "Touch" and "Solace" - I have heard fans call the original release a "Fumbling/Surfacing" concert - that is no longer the case. "Mirrorball: The Complete Concert" upholds a nicely diverse selection of songs from her first four, and best albums to date (Touch, Solace, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, and of course Surfacing). The added tracks include: "Plenty", "Witness", "Wait", "Ice", "I Will Not Forget You", "Mary", "Elsewhere", "Vox", and "Into the Fire". br / br /The length of the album well exceeds two hours, in a truly harmonious musical sensation; this is Sarah McLachlan at her absolute finest, live and unedited. She regularly engages the audience, comments on the meaning of each song sung, and also displays a warming sense of humour which really defines this album as a treasure. br / br /Included within the collection set is a charming booklet featuring numerous never before released pictures of the concert, which provides those who were unable to experience the concert live, a visual depiction of the performance. br / br /"Mirrorball: The Complete Concert" is the pinnacle definition of a "Sarah McLachlan Concert" - maintaining an even balance of a energetic, yet contemplative mood which all those who have experienced it have come to admire and appreciate. I am grateful the decision was made to re-release this album, as it is arguably her best concert to date - I am also quite fond of Afterglow Live as well. If you enjoyed the original release, as well as the Mirrorball DVD, you will surely adore this collection - a must have. Highly recommended.

I am usually quite miffed when Sarah and Nettwerk decide to re-release old Sarah songs but in this case I am *very* happy! This two-disc edition of "Mirrorball" is perfect for long-time Sarah fans as it covers her first four (and best) albums and it isn't as polished as the 1999 release. The sound quality is excellent and it almost feels like being at a McLachlan concert. An excellent addition for die-hard Sarah fans! br /
