Amazing July 26, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Great collection. I expected to get every spider-man comic published since the beginning (spectacular, ect...) but I was being a bit naive. This disc regroups all Amazing Spider-man, including amazing fantsy no 15 and all annuals, all in color, with original ads and features, up to the beginning of "civil war". Anyway, amazing is the most important title, where almost everything significant happened. For the price, this collection is a must have, even for people who are familiar with the story.
For those who wanted, or already bougt some "marvel essentials" paperback editions, this is 10 times better and cheaper. One spider-man essential regroups about 30 issues, for relatively the same price and they are in black and white. This way you get them all, in color and you get the impression of reading an authentic comic book.
Every issue is in pdf, a charm with acrobat reader. But I would recommend it only to people who own a large lcd screen. My 15in are barely enough to fit a complete panel and still be able to read it comfortably. I don't what to think about having to read small caracters on a tube screen. Having to pan and scan the pages would probably destroy the impression of reading an authentic comic book too.
The interface is simple enough, no program (other than acrobat reader) for pc and the acrobat reader is included on the disc. I red somewhere that you need a dvd-rom to get the information and that not all dvd-R or RW are capable, just a though before you purchase.
