And with the addition of activities like Skateboarding and Rhythm Kung Fu, players will be using the Wii Balance Board accessory in a variety of new and fun ways. p/ bGameplay/bbr/ As with the original iWii Fit/i release, iWii Fit Plus/i is designed, as its name implies, to improve the user's fitness. The game contains a large number of activities that fall into a variety of categories, including: yoga, aerobics, strength training and balance games. With all but a few exceptions, which utilize variations on a standard Wii Remote configuration, all activities utilize the Wii Balance Board (not included, but available with the iWii Fit Plus/i Balance Board Bundle), either alone or configured with either a Wii Remote alone or the Wii Remote and nunchuck. The Balance Board, like any other Wii controller acts as a motion/pressure sensing device wirelessly synched to your Wii and replicating your body's movements. Each controller employed occupies one of the Wii's four wireless inputs, together mapping the reference points needed to recreate most full body motions on screen. Although this limits the majority of the activities to a single player orientation, various activities throughout the game support up to eight players in alternating play. p/ To use iWii Fit Plus/i players import their Miis from their Wii system, set up profiles, establish a current physical baseline, set fitness goals, and embark on a routine to reach them. iWii Fit Plus/i tracks your usage, weight and progress towards your goal over time, giving you a status report as you start each session. At any time players can choose whatever activity they want, whether exercise or balance game, and as they progress in these they will level up in each, gaining points, setting high scores and unlocking more activities. p/ bPersonalization Option Via 'The Locker Room'/bbr The original iWii Fit/i was designed to have something for everyone. Now iWii Fit Plus/i raises the bar by providing users with personalization options that allow them to find/create a specific workout routine that is exactly right for them, their family and their lifestyle. One example of this is "The Locker Room." Easily accessible throughout the game, here players can choose from a number customizable options that allow them to maximize their time with iWii Fit Plus/i without having to navigate through the game menu while in the middle of a workout. In essence this allows players to become their own personal trainer. Customization options available within The Locker Room include: preprogrammed and timed iWii Fit Plus/i Routines; My Routine, where you choose your own set of activities, optimizing their length and area of the body to be focused on; and Favorites, a notation of activities you frequent, which provides fast access to exercises you enjoy doing the most. p/ bAddition Yoga and Strength Exercises/bbr/ Designed as an addition to the already substantial list of focused, physical exercises available in iWii Fit/i, iWii Fit Plus/i contains six new and challenging strength and yoga activities. But continuing with the game's commitment to personalization, the key to these additions is not in their volume, but in how the player chooses to mix and match them. Do them in the order they are presented, or combine them in whatever order you want. The choice is yours. The player even has the ability to repeat the ones that he/she prefers, maximizing attention and effort where it is needed most. In addition, for those to whom time is a commodity, you can now omit unnecessary interludes between exercises, making for a continuous, timesaving routine. p/ bA Wealth of New Balance Games/bbr/ Regardless of the considerable fitness factor packed into iWii Fit Plus/i, the Nintendo brand is and will always be all about having fun. With that in mind iWii Fit Plus/i also comes packed with 15 new, entertaining balance games suitable for every member of the family. Just a few of those that players can expect to see are: Juggling; Skateboarding; Snowball Fight; Obstacle Course, a log-leaping, cannonball-evading event reminiscent of what Nintendo icon Mario must go through; and Perfect 10, a balance game designed to promote a combination of physical and mental health. In this final example the player's Mii is situated between multiple color-coated balls, each showing specific numbers, with the goal to swing your hips, hula style, in different directions to tap out a total of ten as many times as possible before time runs out. p/ bKey Game Features/b ul liUsers can input the amount of time they want to spend on their workouts or select an area for personal improvement, and iWii Fit Plus/i will suggest a number of diverse activities for them./li liFor the first time, users can mix and match which strength and yoga activities they prefer on a given day. The seamless exercise flows make it easier than ever for users to maintain their daily workout routines./li liUsers might be asked to run an obstacle course across a series of platforms, zoom across a beach on a Segway x2 Personal Transporter or flap their arms to help their hilarious chicken-suited characters aim for targets./li liThe range of games and customization options will make players want to play every day. Theyrsquo;ll be having so much fun that their workouts will seem to fly by in no time at all./li liPlayers also can see estimates of calories burned and can even activate a feature that lets them weigh their dogs or cats./li /ul /td /tr /table

Great upgrade to the original Wii Fit November 17, 2009 Calgary Book Worm (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) I purchased the Wii Fit Plus to see what was new on it (hoping for some more 'step' routines, but sadly disappointed!) but I'm quite enjoying some of the other new activities on it. I like the fact that I can now create a personal "routine" of yoga and strength exercises, which I can go through more quickly than selecting each exercise individually, as I previously had to. The new activities offer lots of different things (golf swing, segway, skateboarding, and more) and some of them also include "mind-stretching activities" as well as physical (The Basic Run Plus is the same run as before, but now asks you questions about what you saw on your way round the island...so pay attention!)
br /On inserting the Plus disc into my Wii machine, it automatically brings all your stored information, weight, BMI, number of days etc, into the new program.
br /So other than the fact that I, like many other peoplke, are waiting for a specific "step routine" program for our Wii's, which the upgrade doesn't have, this is a good buy, with some fun stuff on it, and if you use your Wii on a regular basis like I do, I'd recommend you get it to keep yourself amused.
Using This Helps! November 16, 2009 Linda Klatt (Edmonton, Canada) Using Wii Fit Plus combined with other aerobic exercise has made me look and feel more toned. I was not one for doing the strength exercises, but find I do those the most! Also like the yoga and being accountable every day for the weigh in, bmi check, and balance. What I wish that wii fit plus had was the combination suggestions that the plain old wii fit had. The suggestions for that come with the wii fit plus to target different areas are just the basic exercises with just minimal reps. Overall, it is fun, it does make you sweat, laugh, and has made a difference. My muffine top is definately shrinking.
Not bad! November 14, 2009 S. Adelberg (powell river, BC canada) The first edition had started to get stale so this was a great addition and got me off mu but!
br /New activitites in each category would have been even better.
br /All in all, worth the money.
Wii Fit Plus adds Fun to fitness November 9, 2009 C. Evoy (Ontario) I purchased this game in hopes that my husband and I can get our daily exercise and have fun doing it.
br /
br /Pros:
br /+ Up to 8 people (including pets) can play.
br /+ calorie counter and daily calorie goal
br /+ Exercises for a range of abilities; includes strength training, yoga, aerobics and balance exercises
br /+ Exercises are scored for points (adds competition and fun)
br /+ Create exercise routines
br /+ Daily body test (BMI and Weight) and wii fit age
br /
br /Cons:
br /- Cannot change weight measurement from Kg to lbs (Canadian version)
br /- sometimes exercises are a little tricky at first (I promise, with a bit of practice, they will get easier)
br /
br /I've had a lot of fun with wii fit plus, more than I expected for a game full of exercises. If you haven't had the will power to exercise everyday, this will help. It may make you want to exercise every day and enjoy it.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT even though improvements are needed. November 4, 2009 Lover of Life (Ontario) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Wii Fit Plus.
br /
br /Even though this game still needs improvement I would say it's the best workout Wii game currently available.
br /
br /What I love about Wii Fitness Plus
br /+ The graphics are sharp and crisp.
br /+ The exercises are highly enjoyable and are a challenge at the same time.
br /+ The exercises make you feel like you are really biking, flying, etc.
br /+ I can see my weight fluctuation and therefore keep tabs on correcting my mistakes (like overeating or under exercising).
br /+ I have lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks and I'm still going strong.
br /+ You can add pets. Even if you don't have any, you can still add fake pets like we did! :)
br /+ You can do a no interruption Yoga and Strength training routine that actually improves your ability. I guess it's because disruptions or confidence boosters or deflaters (like scoring) can defocus some people, like myself.
br /+ You can now track your waistline and steps done.
br /
br /What I don't love
br /- Customization only allows for Yoga and Strength training and you can not see or save scores. This must be to reduce time in between exercises so it will be great if they find a way to reduce the "wait" time between exercises without skipping the "all important" scores. :)
br /- Not all the Training Plus are balance games. For example, there is Biking and Martial Arts. The other commenter said she didn't sweat but we don't find that to be the case. Perhaps it's how she's working out or perhaps her level of fitness is quite high. For the average person (who are doing the exercises correctly and keep moving between exercises), I think you are going to sweat.
br /- Wii age seems meaningless. Perhaps "levels" or a bell curve is a better way to figure it out. I'm late 30's and I'm always ranking low 20's but Wii Fit would have you think I'm in perfect health when I'm not!
br /- The juggling "nunchuck" seems to not work so well with the "flicking motion".
br /I know I'm fat but I'm losing weight. Could you be a bit more positive about my BMI status especially when I'm losing weight and the BMI is going down? :) If nothing else, it's developing a thick skin in me when I get to hear everyday for months that I'm fat but I keep going at the program. lol Heh, in that way it's like boot camp!
br /- The various "mini" routines designed by Wii Fit are not always right though many are.
br /
br /Additions I would like to see.
br /+ How much weight lost or gained since starting the game or "program".
br /+ The ability to customize a workout which includes "all" the exercises (balance, aerobic, etc.)
br /+ A warm up and cool down feature. Currently I use the Yoga, Strength, and Balance exercises for that and have the aerobics as the meat of the workout.
br /+ Keep tabs on how much time is spent doing aerobics, balance exercises, etc. while working out.
br /+ Update the Training Plus to pick out the aerobics (the biking and running are definately not balance games, for example!!) from the balance games for the Fitness Credits.
br /
br /New Aerobics and Balance Games
br /+ Swimming
br /+ Mini golf
br /+ Rock climbing
br /+ Hand gliding
br /+ Skating
br /
br /There's a lot more little things for you to discover in this game or fitness fun program. For the price, the extra goodies are worth it. If you love Wii Fit, you will love Wii Fit Plus even more!!! And if you hate exercise but love games, you are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Wii Fit. And if you love exercising but you didn't think you loved games, you are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Wii Fit. It's really for everyone!!! And I can't wait for the next edition with more exercises.
