Couldn't have asked for more! 5 stars! August 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a superb TV. Make sure you do it justice and use some decent cabling and feed it an HDMI source wherever possible. I hooked up my Onkyo DVD player via an Ixos HDMI cable and the result was awesomely rich colours and smooth movement when watching Transformers. The sound's poor but that's what you expect with any flat panel TV so no real surprise there. Standard Definition pictures through a QED Squart are not quite up to DVD quality but still very good indeed. The SD card reader is also handy and displays very crisp HD pictures. Ignore the "non-1080P" tag - it just doesn't matter when you can get all the benefits of a plasma in a 37" package for under 600.
An excellent affordable TV August 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Purchased this from Amazon two months ago and absolutely delighted with it so far. Although not offering a five year guarantee like some competitors 575 seemed an excellent deal. Great delivery, took a few days but good communication.
When I unpacked it looked bigger than expected so I was glad I didn't go for 42 inch as our viewing distance is about 10 feet- anything bigger in our room would not be great.
We don't have HD but all Sky normal and nuilt in freeview bring good pictures. The Euro Championship football provided a test and ITV Freeview was the poorest for motion blur. There is a little but it is not chronic like some Plasmas and LCDs I have seen. Slightly distracting initially but I'd imagine HD TV would sort this when we get round to purchasing it!
Cricket looks fantastic and Sony PS3 upscaling DVDs is superb. Needless to say game play from PS3 with a bog standard 6 HD cable is fantastic.
I am happy enough with sound quality- its not immense but it is good enough for me.
I see a TV purchase like this to be good for 5-7 years, and without being a techy nerd, industry obsessed-type I am sure this set will fulfil that purpose and some...
panasonic th37px80b August 7, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We have had this tv for about four weeks and I can honestly say it is fabulous in all aspects. The picture is wonderful, the colour is natural with a great range and the contrast is second to none. Some reviews say that the sound is not so great but to me it sounds perfect I just turned the bass up ever so slightly and music and films sound just fine. The build quality is superb as you would expect from panasonic and I imagine the metal back would add rigidity if you were to fix the set to a wall. I am completely happy with the tv and would thoroughly recommend it.
Panasonic Plasma 37 - Excellent buy July 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Fantastic product, very happy with it, although the wife thinks it is too big. I have to admit when I unpacked it, I had to check the box to make sure that they had not sent me a bigger one by mistake! Picture quality is excellent, sound very good, and I do not use any extra attachments. For the price I paid from Amazon, 560, it is hard to beat.
Pleasures of the Panasonic July 26, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this TV recently, after ditching my old Sony, which was 14 years old. I wanted something not too expensive, HD ready and of good quality which will last at least 5 years.Read all the reviews and have bought this-what a great TV!!Colours ,contrast etc excellent. I cannot fault the sound. I am really pleased and would recommend to anyone, 37inches is a good screen size and the quality and value for money is unbeatable.I connected to a panasonic DVD recorder and the DVD images are superb.Just need more time to get use to all it can do, the instruction manual is packed with the extra features.
