Best Buy By Far September 19, 2008 M. A. Goring (Lancashire England) I've owned my HD700x for a few months now and have never regretted buying it for one second. Now that I have just started playing Blu-Ray discs through it I love it even more. The only slightly negative point I have is the ever so slight rainbow effect on very dark action scenes. Although I am now aware that I actually used to look for it when I first started watching movies on it with a critical eye. Now that I am used to it I very rarely notice it. And at this price I don't believe you can get better. Perfect for wet summer days.
Totally worth buying August 28, 2008 Jonathan Jarman (england) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am the sort of person who likes to research something lots before i buy it. I read alot of reviews on the hd700x and they were very positive. I then noticed that there was a brighter model the hd65 and was torn on which one to buy. I decided to go for the hd700x and am so glad that i did. My room isnt very big and the projector sits about 2 metres away from the wall, however i still get a 1.5 meter wide picture. The brightness is great, even with the curtains open in the day the screen is easy to see. The colours are really vivid and look better then my fiends lcd tv. I have an xbox 360 plugged into the projector with the red blue and green cables and it is set to 720p, the quality is awsome and even with normal dvds the quality is not too bad. Hearing reviews i was worried the fan would be too loud, however it is no louder than my xbox 360 fan even when it is set to fast. I would definately recommend this instead of buying a large hd lcd tv, a bargain :D .
Amazing July 31, 2008 Mr. A. J. Davis 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is one great projector very clear sharp images, great options for display manipulation and the remote very is handy too. Very easy to setup and get going. I've rigged it up to my xbox 360 and my laptop both look outstanding. 5/5.
Amazing piece of equipment July 7, 2008 P. Wake (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
ordered this evening delivery late saturday got it sunday plug everything up and the picture is amazing, clear colourful and massive to boot can plug up to just about anything. The only negative thing i can think of is the fact that i might have to buy speakers for it as i thought it had inbuilt speakers. but that isn't a massive problem.
Best Buy! Unbelievable quality! May 27, 2008 P. Blackman (UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This has to be the best buy ive made in ages. I bought an el-cheapo projector about 6 months ago on eBay, the quality was ok not great, brightness was rubbish and was only 600:1 contrast. So i decided to spend a little more money on a better projector. I got this delivered on Friday and i spent 10 hours playing XBOX 360 on this over the weekend. Only problem i have now is i need a new XBOX as mine was pre HDMI. But component is amazing on this. I have a throw of 8.5 feet, and i measured the screen at 64", the brightness and quality is amazing even with ambient light i still managed to get a decent image. You can hardly hear the fans which is a huge bonus compared to my last projector, and the menu is so easy to use. The only issue I found is that it must be either table or ceiling mounted because I don't think you can adjust the position of the projection. I did mess around with the settings but then I started to lose the bottom of the image. Maybe i need to play around with it a bit more but its not a huge problem. Still a fantastic projector for the price!
