 Great Value For Money July 30, 2008
On receiving this through the post, I was amazed how stunning the guitar itself is. Quite simply you could just display the guitar in your living room and get many envious looks from your friends without actually playing it. However, the guitar's true brilliance shines through when you sit down and start to learn the basics from the DVD provided - the sound is quite amazing. The DVD is simple to use and, even better, simple to help you get up and running.
In fact, all the items are great for a beginner - the case is simple but effective, and lets you carry the guitar like a rucksack (not sure how practical that would be to get through doors though) or carry the guitar normally using the hand strap. The tuner is easy to use and makes it easy to tune your guitar yourself using the lED indicators to help you find the right tension. The spare strings are classical strings which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but may come in handy. The plectrums are simple, but effective. The stand is excellent and really does help to show off the true beauty of the guitar itself and has a handy rubber strap to hold the guitar securely in place.
All in all, great value for money, much cheaper than elsewhere and highly recommended.

This has a really nice sound and is good qaulity for the money and all the accessories are handy. Well worth the money. Recommend for beginners.
Excellent starter kit March 12, 2008
This pack is excellent value for money. The guitar has a good sound and low action, it's easy to play and stays in tune. The tuner, bag and stand are all good, but the DVD is a waste of time, there's much better DVDs and books available. The spare strings are for classical guitar (the three high strings are nylon not steel), but strings are cheap. I can't imagine you can get a better starter pack than this.

As the other reviewers have already said, this is a great guitar for beginners and my criticism is entirely with the pack. I don't desperately need the guitar stand and the bag is not worth spending the extra 20 on (as opposed to the basic pack). As for the rest of the items (which can also be found in the basic pack), the electric tuner is a great addition, while plectrons, strap and the DVD are useful accessories. Unfortunately the spare strings included were for classical guitar - not so useful and it meant I had to buy extra strings anyway, so all in all the pro pack is not really value for money.
Quick delivery! February 26, 2008
I ordered the Yamaha F310 starter pack complete with stand, tuner, gig bag, etc, on Saturday February 23rd 2008 and it has arrived today, Tuesday February 26th 2008. That is an incredibly quick turnaround time, and the kit arrived well packed in a Yamaha own label box. I own a couple of other guitars (left handed), but I wanted to get a right handed guitar for my son, so I thought the starter kit might be the way to go, as it has the accessories already included. I am very pleased, the guitar itself is of the quality I would expect from Yamaha, and it sounds just as good straight out of the box, if not better than my left handed acoustic (not a Yamaha). All in all I would recommend this kit as an excellent value for money starter for anyone thinking of taking up acoustic guitar.
