Believe all the other reviews these speakers are amazing.I'm 55 years old and have listened to my music through countless different systems and this set leaves all before in the shade.It took me longer to unpack them than it did to set them up.Turned them on sat back and then wow--blown away by the most incredible reproduction of original sound I have ever heard.Don't hesitate to buy them.In my opinion there are no other speakers on the market that come anywhere close to these beauties.
They are the best purchase I have ever made.

I have converted a barn in my field that is fairly huge, into a kinda party zone :) invite firends round and have a fun and a good time dancing. Anyway, to the z-2300, basically i was looking for a replacement speaker set for my previous 100w gig amp that i was using for the sound in the barn, and the amp just wasnt cutting it, enough base just nothing close to good sound quality. So i hunted around and read reviews on various websites, and i must admit i started to fall in love with these babies, so i bought them, thinking that i would be getting better sound quality but around about the same volume and base.
I get the speakers before the recomended delivery date (thanks again amazon) I unpack them with all the speed of a farrari in anticipation, have them out of the incredibly well packed pakaging and set up in less than 10 minuets and ..... WOW, imediatly i was blown away with the quality!, Crystal clear, every note!, i then started to play with the volume and bass controls! i was blown away, or more likely vibrated to death! the bass on these speakers is absolutely incredible! and at full volume (yes i'm nearly deaf now) the sound quality doesnt even begin to change it all stays clear as the light of day, even the bass ! and let alone giving me enough sound coverage for the barn, it nearly covers the whole field! from inside a sound insulated barn!!!
Overall i am incredibly pleased with this purchase, i would recomend to anyone looking for bass and volume with exeptionally good THX certified sound quality.
People on other reveiws have said that the cables from the 2 sattelite speakers are short and yes i can see that they would be rather annoying in certain situations, however its not a problem for me because they fill the whole barn no matter where their placed!

These speakers are amazing, sooo powerful and a nice crisp sound !! I reccomend these speakers to anyone !!!!
Literally Ground-Shaking June 24, 2008
The speakers are unbelievable, until you buy them and set them up. No-one would expect the satellites to go as loud as they do, but they handle even the loudest sounds perfectly, no hiss no crackle no loss. Let alone the subwoofer. I have had things fall off my desk and off my bookshelves because of the bass (if its turned up). I live in university accomodation, and the number of complaints I have had while getting carried away is testament to their greatness. They can be heard through floors, ceilings, doors, anything.
Brilliant for watching films - with Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, you can feel the windows rattle every time a Nazgul steed flaps its wings. Battles are terrifying.
Games are fantastic too, Battlefield 1942 becomes much more visceral.
As with music, this does justice to anything from Mozart to Trance.
Overall, a truly fantastic product. The only shame is the price. For this price, there is no other system which sounds this good, so Logitech must have screwed up their pricing a lot! These speakers are worth much more, so capitalise on their error and make it your good fortune! You won't regret (though your neighbours might).
Since I have had them, for nearly 2 years now, two of my friends have also bought them. We are all very happy.
Good Lord They Could Wake the Dead! June 10, 2008
My old speakers died, and after a lot of searching around and reading reviews I decided to go for these, I only wanted to spend about 50, but thankfully I had a 40 amazon voucher and decided that seeing as I'm going to get a lot of use out of them there's no point in going for second best, and I should just make the plunge. WOW Am I ever glad I did! They are ridiculously loud, My system volume is on about an 8th of the highest value, and with the knob on these turned up to maximum they are making the room vibrate, I'd be scared to turn it up much louder! Looks were a major factor when choosing speakers, and these are very nice, minimal and understated, and that's what you want really, considering they're going to be on your desk in your line of sight a lot of the time.
Reviews say they are a bit lacking in the mid-higher frequencies, which I guess is true, I simply moved some of the lower frequency bands down a bit on my sound-card EQ and they sound perfect!
In short, if you want a 2.1 system, get these, they are definitely worth the money, and it's not something to scrimp on if you listen to music from your computer a lot like me.
One note of warning, they are VERY heavy, like surprisingly so, the subwoofer weighs a ton! You can only really take this as a sign of good quality.
