Acer AL1916WS 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor July 26, 2007 It is an efficient display monitor.
It is not the cheapest or the most expensive but it does have very good display visualisation.
Good Enough I Guess May 28, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this monitor 6 months ago, mainly due to the cheap price tag of 150, which was and still is a good price for a 19 inch monitor. Looks quite nice, a bit plasticy compared to others, but this really doesn't concern me. It has a very clear picture when doing every day tasks like word processing etc, but when using it for TV with my computer, completely different story -the picture was faded and the brightness which appeared excellent for word processing had dulled alot. This was and still is annoying, and even though i have changed to a digital source for TV it is still dull. Gaming I found was another problem. If you are playing a game like, for example, Fifa 07, then I found that if you kicked a ball up field, the monitor flickered crazily as it tryed to keep up with the pace of the game, which as you can probably guess, is extremely annoying. Although I have found a few drawbacks with this monitor, it still deserves 3 stars because it is a good price for a monitor this size, but you may find you are better off just paying a bit more to get a monitor that is good for TV and Gaming, because this definitely isnt!
Very good value for money December 16, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I justified this purchase to myself to 2 reasons. The first was I used my PC a lot and might as well be looking at a nice screen rather than an old flickering 17" CRT. The second was I wanted to treat myself for xmas.
Pro's Nice clear image - I am just a regular PC user. I don't play games but do browse the web, play around with digital photos and watch DVDs. For these tasks the monitor is great.
Easy to set up - both attaching the monitor to the screen and the menu system
A nice thin border around the screen - approx half an inch.
Con's No swivel - this isn't a problem for me as the screen is so light I just move the whole thing. There is no height adjustment but again this doesn't present me with a problem as I have a two tier desk.
Summary I am pleased with the monitor but do check your graphics card supports the recommended resolution before you buy. I gave 4 stars for the lack of adjustment.

This really is a great value monitor. What else needs to be said?
FANTASTIC FOR THE PRICE, MUST BUY!!! November 2, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I purchased this monitor for my PC and Xbox 360 and it is fantastic in everyway, the only downfall if any is the lack of a DVI port, but for the price I cannot fault it and the picture quality on my PC and 360 are amazing. MUST BUY!!!
