Good mini flash mp3 player February 6, 2007 S. Markandu 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Generally a good player with great battery life and mobility. Controls take a little getting used to but nothing that anyone who can read a manual cannot handle.Points to take note of include: br /1)In the bright sunlight you cannot see the LCD screen br /2)You need to use SonicStage which is not the worst thing ever but it takes a little getting used to and can be a bit slow. br /3)Does not work on any other OS except for Windows. br / br /Point (3) is bugging me now as I would like to move to a Mac at middle of the year.
Very nice little machine January 28, 2007 Mr. J. Young 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
br /Having had a few weeks to fiddle out with this rather nifty little device, I have to say that overall, I recommend it. br / br /Plus features: br / br /Excellent sound quality - personally I record at 256kbps in ATRAC, and I find this perfectly acceptable quality to listen to. br /(The lower settings are perfectly capable when using this outdoors) br /I did find it necessary to tweak the equaliser, and turn off the AVLS, although I rarely listen to it at high volume. br / br /Very convenient 'direct plug in' and sturdy build quality br / br /Superb battery life. br / br /Radio with autoseek is a nice addition, and very useable. br /Negatives: br / br /No belt clip supplied with unit - a small but important omission. br / br /The menus are somewhat fiddly to work through and take time to learn. br / br /Finally, the controls, while functional, are not to my liking. br / br /It is too easy to skip a track, as the selector is on the side, where I (still) assume the volume controls are - these are on the back, and require more finding than I would ideally like. br / br /The display could be a little bigger. (although this would affect battery life). br / br /Overall, it is more the ergonomics of this player that are the main bug. It has sound quality on a par with a 200 pound portable minidisc walkman I have when used outdoors, and is small and stylish, so overall I recommend it, but If like me you are a Sony 'fan', you may not like the overall control layout on this, somewhat ill-though out for a Sony.
Brilliant January 16, 2007 Mr. R. B. Palmer (london) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the best mp3 player I have ever bought this is an upgrade from an ipod nano. Having read the reviews I cannot understand the complaints about the transfer software, I found it really easy to use(I didn't even need to read the instructions). Anyway the Radio tuner is great, all- round this is a really good product. FIVE STARS
