 Great quality, excellent looks, shame about the instructions August 30, 2008
Our 15 year old CRT TV went 'pfut' at the weekend, so it was time finally time to join the wide/flat-screen, digtal revolution. After much research, we opted for the Panasonic TX-37LZD80. Now we just needed something to stand it on.
We looked at several similar TV stands in the obvious 'never undersold' high street store. I have to say, that both in looks and sturdiness, this is easily the match for equivalent products costing twice the price.
As other reviewers have noted, the self-assembly instructions are pretty useless, consisting of a few poorly-printed 'exploded' diagrams of the various parts. Anyone who is reasonably confident with putting together flat-packed furniture should not have too much difficulty though.
Finally, my only other concern surrounded the condition the packing box the stand arrived in. One entire end was crumpled and opened. Despite very clear markings on the box that this contained 'fragile' 'glass', it was clear the box had taken a bit of a battering at some point. The delivery driver stated that this was how he had received it. I marked the delivery sheet accordingly and took photographs of everything before I opened up, but thankfully the contents were well protected inside. I suppose this is just the risk you take with home delivery.
As far as the end product is concerned, I cannot recommend it enough.

Looks great, easy to assemble. Looks more expensive than it is, so good value for the price.
Seems sturdy aswell. A good buy.

i had no problem puting it all together my son inlaw did it for me.looks great better then i thought for the price .

Ordered Monday, delivered Friday. Well packed. Assembly easy although instructions arn't the best. Seems robust, looks good and is functional. Good value

Arrived very well packed in polystyrene sheets within box, so even though box bit damaged all inside was fine. Took few minutes to lay out parts and review pictoral instructions to make sure I knew what I was doing before starting. Stand went together fine within about 20 minutes. Looks very nice and appears very robust.
