Product Description The innovation keeps coming with our new Regza XV Series Full HD Ready LCD television, blending superb picture and audio quality, and delivering it in our slimmest, most stylish package to date. It has an On/Off switch; sounds obvious but you can now choose to turn off your TV completely, rather than leave it on stand-by for software and channel updates. The 1920x1080p Full HD Ready panel is driven by our acclaimed Active Vision LCD picture processing technology and creates high definition images, full of ...

first class Television August 22, 2008 ordered Wednesday lunch time arrived Thursday 09.30am, excellent service. Beautiful looking set. Switched on and auto tune located and stored over 30 freeview channels within five minutes. Minor moan no fixing screws for table top stand in box hopefully Amazon will sort out. Still playing with colours and sound but more than pleased with picture quality. Fantastic price overe 200 cheaper than Argos.
Excellent HDTV August 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of my annoyances with HD TVs is that they often handle standard definition signals very poorly, not so with this one. Using both the inbuilt freeview and Virgin provides clear pictures with little in the way of noticeable compression (big blocks appearing on the screen where resolution is low).
Blu-ray movies and HD games (played through a PS3 and HDMI cable) look superb. Text has to be the biggest benefit, especially in games and when browsing the Internet. Text that was un-readable on a standard definition set are now crystal clear. So good that I actually now use it for my laptop too (there is an input for VGA on the back, as well as more HDMI slots and scart slots that I'd ever need).
The only negative I've found is that connecting the TV to my stereo (for external speakers) provides a delay meaning you can't have the TV speakers and the stereo speakers 'live' at the same time as you get an echo effect. This is a minor problem however since the TV's speakers are more than adequate for most things.
All in all a great TV at a great price.
No problems so far, great screen August 6, 2008 Having used the tele for about a week, I'm really pleased with it. It displays full 1080p perfectly, blu-ray films from my PS3 look awesome and the games look equally good. I'm not too sure about the game mode, it just seems to change the brightness but there may be other things at work so I'm not too sure. It's got a pile of inputs in the back which was nice and I've had no problem plugging everything in. I plugged an aerial in, but the built in freeview was unable to pick up a signal so I'm not too sure how fussy this tele will be in low-signal areas as I believe I might be. Also, when connecting via VGA, it's not possible to stretch the screen to the full width which is a shame if you'd planned to use this VGA mode to watch films on the screen - if anyone knows a way, I'd appreciate hearing it.
All in all a great purchase and at 600 with a stand, you can't really go wrong.

best ever purchase? July 10, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
i have had this tv for 2 days and its one of the best - if not the best thing i have ever brought! the display has crisp, vivid colours that look amazing when hooked up to a xbox 360 and im sure a PS3/Blu-Ray player
the actual set iself is very stylish and sleek and has a nice black glossy finish and is like a work of art in itself, the best looking set around IMO
the menu on this tv has so many different sound (the sound is amazing and full/rich on this tv - which is a problem for alot of LCDs *cough*samsung*cough*) and picture display options so everyone can adjust it to their individual needs and tastes, i would recommend this tv 100%, if you look on here and play.com everyone has given it 5 stars (unless its for a silly reason) so if you are thinking of getting this tv but arn't sure (like i was) then get it - trust me, you wont be disappointed!
