Good value November 15, 2009 Mr. A. N. Armstrong (London UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For the money you won't get a better spec Home Cinema system than the TZ325R. Looks the part too! Go for it.
samsung 5.1 home cinema system November 4, 2009 T. L. France (lincs. uk) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have this system now set up with the Samsung wireless unit for the rear speakers from Amazon at a really good price.I am well pleased with the sound and quality.
Great Home Cinema November 1, 2009 Mr. C. Noonan (Somerset UK) I have been very impressed with this system. The sound is very good and styling excellent. What has really impressed me is the connectivity I bought HDMI and optical audio cable for peanuts and everything is high quality and interactive (I have got Samsung TV). Plugged my archive PC disk in and magically nearly all the content on the disk was available (only some AVI files did not run). Then I connected my Bluetooth phone and my whole music collection was at my fingertips. In effect I can use my phone as a remote control. My phone has a graphic equaliser so I can use that. One of the small faults of the system is its lack of graphic equaliser. Overall very pleased.
br /They are some comments about cable, lengths. With my system (Oct 2009) there was plenty of cable in fact two sets! So no problem there.
My new home theatre! October 31, 2009 A. Newton (Durham City, Durham United Kingdom) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had been promising myself a home cinema system for a while and always found myself coming back to this unit as I was particularly interested in the wireless rear speaker capabilities. After reading several quite favourable reviews I took the plunge and ordered in conjunction with the SWA4000 wireless unit. Excellent delivery, within 48 hrs.
br /Im no techie or electrical expert but I have to say that setting up the unit was really straightforward and the colour coding really helps. I found the wireless rear speaker set up an absolute doddle, having to do no more than plug the supplied card into the DVD receiver and power up the unit. I found the auto calibration feature to be superb and a real bonus.
br /Quality of the sound seems tip top to me, bear in mind I didnt have any prior systems so I guess its going to sound fab to me anyways. Only tiny issues I had was working out how to plumb all my gear together and I had to do a few searches on the web to assist so I think it would be good to explain here how I set mine up for the benefit of others.

br /Bear in mind my TV has 2 x HDMI ports, I had to purchase a splitter cable.

br /1. Samsung unit linked direct via HDMI to TV
br /2. SKY + HD Box linked via HDMI to splitter/TV + Optical lead to Samsung unit (Select D/IN)
br /3. XBOX 360 Linked via HDMI to splitter/TV + the official xbox audio cable convertor to Samsung (Select Aux2)

br /This set-up gives me great sounds and effects. Only hiccup I had was seemingly losing my rear speakers on sky and xbox until I read the instructions properly and realised I hadnt set the sound set up to MATRIX from the hand controller. Doh!

br /Overall, Im really, really impressed in terms of value for money. Maybe if your a Hi Fi afficiando then you would pick holes in the units performance but I guess if your expecting Ferrari Enzo performance from a Ford Fiesta then your being a bit daft.
Good Value For Money October 30, 2009 Justin Heathcote Overall this is a very good value piece of kit that sounds decent and looks the part.

br /Be careful when you take the subwoofer out of the box though, I was surprised to note that the speaker cone wasn't protected by a grill, so a careless finger could easily damage it. By the way, the rear cables are plenty long enough, somewhere in the 7-10 metre range I would estimate. It took me around 2 hours to get it unpacked, setup and configured properly to sound good in my living room. It's not difficult, just takes you a bit of time to read the manual and adjust some settings.

br /The sound quality is pretty impressive, although I've not heard an £800+ seperates system, so I don't have anything to benchmark it against, needless to say it's a whole lot better than stereo tv speakers. It's also an attractive looking system next to the tv. Good value for money I would say, can't complain for less than £200...don't forget to buy an optical and HDMI cable though as they aren't in the box.
