Very easy to set up and have no complaints. It does everything it says on the box. br /Bit confusing to set up favourits. But I didn't bother with that in the end because I only watch the BBC-HD channel as most of the channels are on Freeview anyway.

5 out of 5 stars This is a 'Ronseal' product...   November 1, 2009

From checking the specification online to installation this product delivers exactly what it says it is going to deliver. It took me longer to disconnect the Sky Box I was taking out than it did to install the Humax box. Although it only delivers 1080i and not 1080p, my eyes aren't good enough to spot the difference anyway. br / br /The HDMI cable supplied is adequate, but I upgraded and it does make a difference. br / br /All in all a good product and so far well worth the money as it is saving me a fortune in Sky subscriptions :-)

5 out of 5 stars easy freesat   September 27, 2009

I bought this in conjuction with the install from another site as I did not want to have to go up ladders / install the dish and it was an all in deal. I bought it over a year ago and it has performed tirelessly. It is small, reliable and fairly easy to use. One annoyance is it takes a while to start up so if you have missed the start of something you cannot switch it on right away it takes 30 seconds approx to perform the start up application from standby mode. br /There are plenty of sockets in the back for your needs, the satelite aerial, HD and 2x scarts being the most important. This was I believe the first freesat on the market, and my first freesat, and as it is does what is says without problems and has lasted me longer than one year I recommend it.

Bought this from Roseparrot through Amazon. Excellent purchase experience. br / br /The Humax arrived by FedEx. Opened, plugged in, HDMI connected and sky dish cable connected within 5 minutes. Turned on and within 5 minutes I was watching an A1 quality BBC HD picture. I highly recommend this box for very good freesat channels (both TV and Radio).

This has got to be the easiest product in the world to set up. I opened the box, plugged in the satellite lead, connected the included HDMI cable and switched it on. Tuning is automatic and the set up was complete in 5 minutes. The BBC HD channel picture quality is simply awesome, although some of the programmes are not! Now I did buy a separate HDMI lead as per the Amazon recommendation and can say there is a perceptible difference in picture quality between the included lead and the new one. So throw away the SCART cable (if you can), throw away the included HDMI lead and buy a quality one. I've kept my Sky+box to use as a recorder and have that connected to another TV. Obviously it only shows the free to air channels. br / br /Great product, but buy a decent HDMI cable.
