essential ipod item July 15, 2008 Wayne Mattison (Leeds England) Whilst almost everyone these days hail the Ipod video as a modern design classic and sexy piece of kit, most owners will agree that if left unprotected for a day or two and flung into a pocket or handbag with keys and other items your precious, blinging and expensive 'pod would soon look like something the cat had dragged in. To say that Apple had missed the boat in producing a durable finish for what is essentially a used every day item is somewhat of an understatement, (rant out of the way) on to the review. Having owned several skins and cases I have to say that this is without a doubt the very best I have ever had. It does add a bit of bulk, but then what case doesn't but it is kept to a minimum, the finish is very tactile and the screen protector is fabulous. I don't think I will be without one from now on, excellent product and in its own way somewhat of a design classic 5 stars.
my review February 19, 2008 P. Connell (U.K) I bought one of these for my ipod and believe me they are perfect.O.K they are not the best looking case on the market but they do a perfect job of protecting your ipod.Yes it gets "hairy" but take it off run a wet cloth over it and your good to go again.I've had my share of cases in my time but this is the best by far.So good i've bought a blue case for a spare and if i find a red one cheap enough i'll get one of those aswell. All in all a very good case.
Almost dust free. January 15, 2008 A. Brookes (England) I must say that I haven't had an issue with copious amounts of fluff sticking to the outside of this cover. If anything has ever stuck to it a quick blow and it's clean again. Dust does sometimes get under the front cover, but it's easy enough to take the cover off and clean it. The cover doesn't add that much to the overall size of your iPod and it looks good, but obviously completely obscures the iPod's design. With the cover on you can't operate the hold switch very easily as it is also covered. This can be solved with a sharp knife and a steady hand if you wish. Some accessories that use the docking port and that fit flush with the iPod my have an issue with connecting as the cover may get in the way, but I don't have any so can't comment with any authority on this. Overall I think this is a great product for protecting your iPod and I recomment it. Well worth the money to protect your iPod from scratches and minor bumps.
Excellent - does exactly what I want August 16, 2007 Andy (UK, M4 corridor) Brilliant piece of kit for defending my iPod against the lack of care I am likely to show it. Even in this case the iPod is small and looks good. You can get to most the controls fine, I think the jog button works better with the case on. To use the hold switch one has to get slightly inventive (possibly with a knife), but then the main control is slightly recessed in the case so less likely to be accidentally pressed. I've run the iPod for about 12 hrs continuously with no problems, the outside of the case doesn't warm up, so the iPod either doesn't over heat or is so well insulated that you can't feel if it does. Some lint is attracted to the machine washable rubber case, but this is better than destroying the iPod out of the case.
