I'm not a serious photographer so just wanted a cheap and cheerful tripod so I was amazed with the quality and ease of use of this item. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Solid Kit. Go for it   November 8, 2006

Very robust tripod I've only had it a few hours but I can feel the gain in quality over the hama 63. It holds much more weight and has a sturdier feel, without compromising the smoothness of panning and tilting. However it does not score 5 stars because it lacks a carrying case but if you have a big enough camera kit bag it should be a problem since as it fold down quite small.

Not had this tripod long but so far so good, very easy to adjust and use, solid and not too heavy, could have done with being supplied with a case for transportation though, otherwise excellent!!

5 out of 5 stars a solid piece of kit   August 25, 2005

i have a 42 as a backup,it feels very solid, compared to the 61.only thing lacking are gearing handle and levels, which in most cases are a gimmick.one should be able to use the camera grid and eyeball the rest.with gearing adjustment it would be perfect,it gives a sense of solid confidence and despite the lack of bag and carry handle i will give it 6 star happily.the adjustmet knobs are easy to use and are not so fiddly as the 61,the head is much easier to remove.ALL IN ALL IT IS SOLID
