Amazing for 40 - keep your eyes on it ! September 6, 2008 John Clavering (north east uk) This is a very nice quality product - it completely blows away all the little 'dock' systems, up to and including some nice but daftly expensive Bose kit. It looks great out the box, and sets up quickly and easily. Sound quality is as good as anything I've ever plugged my ipod into - very cisp at the top, and rich and well controlled bass. Dont buy this if you need CD and radio sources - thats not what its for, -but if you want a great sounding no-nonsense way to hear your ipod this is it !
5 Stars For Quality July 22, 2008 csantiques (wales) This little JVC system is a quality item, very well made and the sound is superb.Having owned a JVC cd micro system for many trouble free years I have no hesitation recommending the brand. If like me you want to hear your mp3s in crystal clear sound this is the system to buy. I have no problems changing tracks when playing through a usb memory stick. And a big thank you to Amazon great delivery as always, and the price 39.99 what a bargain!!!!
Fantastic July 21, 2008 Ms. V. M. Backhouse (UK) This is absolutly fantastic, i got it for 39.99 only seen it recently in selfridges for 130, bargin!!! sound from ipod is brilliant no complaints at all and it looks good!!
Why are not all reviews 5 stars? July 17, 2008 Gadget Fan (London) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I can only imagine that they bought it when it was around the 100 mark and expected a lot more. I am not aware of many iPod docks that do have the remote functions that people who have reviewed here seem to want. The Klipsch iGroove for around 100 for example only has basic remote functions. For the money this is an amazing system, I could not believe how well put together it was when I got it out of the box. There is a really good weight to both the satellite speakers and sub woofer. The sound quality is excellent and does not need to be up too high at all before it is thumping the tunes out. I have it set up in my office, the speaker are pretty small, as is the main amp unit, and the woofer sits under the desk out of the way - so I get quite a big sound without it taking up much space. I've also connected my TV (which is also my pc monitor) to it through the aux 3.5mm jack, direct from the TVs headphone socket (not sure if there is a better way of doing this), which means both my TV and PS3 sound soooo much better than they did before. I also have a usb audio connection from my mac to the JVC system. Lastly I have my iPod connected to it as well, and it's pretty easy to switch the input to the different sources. So in short, it's well made, looks nice, connects up to quite a few things, and sounds great.
