5 out of 5 stars Budget quality PC   July 14, 2008

Well, what was I after when I bought this PC? The hard drives on my very old computer were failing and I didn't have a massive amount of time to get something new - I needed a computer that was no-fuss, reliable, quality build, would last me a while, and cost effective.

HP are a good quality brand, and having used their laptops and PCs when I used to work in IT I knew I'd be happy with one of their machines.

It's a shame that these days you don't have a choice and have to use Vista, as I much prefer XP Professional, and it is noticeably slower when you start the machine up. Set up was simple however, and once the machine is logged in rather than booting up, it's lightening fast.

I'm VERY happy with this and for value for money, I'd not hesitate in recommending this to anyone looking for a cost effect PC. This will last a good few years and leaves me wanting for nothing.
