It does what it says on the tin! August 23, 2008 Well, looking at the other negative reviews, I hate to be a killjoy but mine seems to work on my small home network of a laptop, two PCs and now a wireless printer!! I'm not a newbie and also not an expert by any means (the best description of me would be a grumpy 60 yo with little patience). I will say, like a lot of computer equipment, the instructions could certainly be clearer and not assume any prior knowledge of the subject. I had a problem when loading the Print Server drivers to a second PC as they were rejected as "Unsigned" and promptly made the PC hang. I had to uninstall in Safe Mode but the second install worked. Yes, only 1 user at a time can be "logged on" to the Printer and the default position is that one is disconnected from the Server after 5 minutes "idle". However in a small household with say 3 users this shouldn't be an insurmountable problem and it's easy to log back on. "Speed", or lack of it, seems to be another issue mentioned elsewhere but again I've found the data is transferred and printed in an acceptable time frame not too dissimilar from my old system with an old, now defunct, PC running as a print server. All my computers run XP (SP3) and I've a Canon Pixma iP4200 printer. I'm delighted we can print at a moment's notice from anywhere in the house and would certainly say to anyone with a similar remote "printing problem" to consider this product. Good luck
Poor software and unreliable June 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this in the wired mode with little issue but with wireless it drops out regularly and needs to be restarted. This somewhat negates the point of wireless printing if you need to reset the box then the printer.
Software looks like it's programmed in windows 3.11 and is not intuitive. This may be cheap but with Belkin you do get what you pay for. Spend a bt more and go for a better Netgear or other manufacturer who spend more time on user friendly software. 2008 and this should not be on the market in this form
Didn't work on VISTA May 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I find Belkin generally not very good. This All In One print Server - simply didnt work.
1st of all it is a small box about the size of a cigarette packet. Out of it you need to plug a hefty RJ45 network cable and the power supply so the pull from these means it wont 'sit' anywhere.
I popped the installation disc into my VISTA computer (it claims to manage OS's Win 2000 "and above") and it would not install. It kept coming up with an error message.
If things don't work straight away - then take them back. Its really not worth your hassle. Therw will be someone else making a similar gadget that does work - buy that one. Belkins website was 'offline' saying its support server was too 'busy'. Not a good sign. Probably lots of other customers trying to get belkin gear to work (that doesnt).
Buy it at YOU PERIL!
Poor quality April 21, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bought this and although the installation worked fine, I wasn't able to set it up wirelessly in the time I had available, given that the power connector then blew. I had my doubts about the brand, but this was the only item I could find to do the job, but with an eqipment fault occuring after 1 hour, this just re-enforced my view. I would look harder in future and go with a better more reliable brand.

Absolute rubbish. Sort of works occasionally but doesnt queue print jobs. Causes various error messages in WIndows. Ive upgraded the firmware but its still a waste of money. Belkin - nuff said. SHould have learnt my lesson after all the ADSL routers I bought that failed early or just didnt work. I'll not be buying any more of their cr*p again
