Amazon.co.uk Review
In the wonderfully entertaining IFreaky Friday/I, teenager Anna (Lindsay Lohan) and her fortysomething psychiatrist mum Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) have sunk into a rut of frustrated bickering--until a magic spell causes them to switch bodies. Suddenly Tess finds herself faced with petty teachers, vicious rivals and a hunky boy, while Anna has to cope with her mother's neurotic patients as well as her befuddled fiance (Mark Harmon), who doesn't understand why his bride-to-be is suddenly recoiling from his embrace on the eve of their wedding. Both Lohan and Curtis turn in deft, delightful performances, with Curtis showing a surprising flair for physical comedy. The movie even manages to explore serious issues about fractured families, new parents and adolescent sexuality with honesty and empathy--and without making the story stop dead in its tracks. This 2003 remake of the 1977 original is a mother-daughter film that fathers and sons can enjoy just as much. --IBret Fetzer/I

4 out of 5 stars A great girly comedy!   September 11, 2008
I think most girls between 8-12 will love this film! br /I first saw it at a friends house then bought it the next day! br /The music is great too!

5 out of 5 stars I love this film   July 31, 2008

I love this film. For the second time I have preferred the remake to the original and both featured LL. I could never stomach the actress who played the mom in the first film or Jodie Foster. br / br /I can watch this version time after time and still laugh and cry especially at the pre-wedding dinner when Anna realises what a nice guy her future step father is and makes a speech welcoming him to the family and commenting that it is good to hear her mom singing in the shower again. br / br /As a staunch LL fan, I cannot say enough about her acting skills. br / br /In this film her timing is perfection and with Jamie Lee Curtis they make a great comedic duo with great on screen chemistry. Quote: (Anna in Mom's body) Oh my god, I've been visited by the crypt keeper. br / br /I can thoroughly recommend this as a fantastic mom and daughter film to watch together, but don't forget the tissues. br / br /I love it. br /

4 out of 5 stars An Absolute Gem   July 24, 2008

There is only one thing more satisfying than watching a greatly lauded film live up to expectation. And that is watching a should-be-pants remake surpass all expectation in a clever and stylish manner. Freaky Friday is such a film. br / br /Well made, very well written and containing two of the finest female comedy performances on film (Jamie Lee Curtis is absolutely outstanding), Freaky Friday is proof positive that where there's class there's quality. And it manages to make un-patronising, salient points about families in the process. It works on all the levels it's meant to and exceeds in every department. Shame really - but one day, not too far away, Lynsey Lohan will look back on this as her finest hour.

Freaky Friday is the perfect sleepover, friday... weekend movie and for the whole family. br /I personly think this is just one of Linsays best movies a part from the "Parent Trap" and everyone esle is just superb too. br / The film is about a angry teenager who is just fed up, and she and her friends have their their own rock band toether. One night at the Japan resturant they are just in teh middle of an argument where they each fall into the trap of eating the forune cookie and then that night they each swap bodies and they have to live each others life. That is really weird and strange. Oh yeah!!!!! They both have to work together to try and make the forune came ture and they do. From then on their relationship is much closer and like old times they are best friends with many new changes. br /Everybody is great and I really admire this movie and I watch it often. br /
