Very, very poor. April 13, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well - that'll teach me not to buy without reading the reviews first!
Everything you read is true - incredibly TomTom have released a case that barely fits the TomTom, that switches your TomTom 'on' when you close it (thus draining its battery), that is stitched together very haphazardly, and that begins to disintegrate the first time you try to use it.
The best tip for any TomTom Go or XL owner is to buy a 'Medium Camera Case' from your local Tesco (as I write they are 3.50). You can find them near the digital cameras in any large Tesco. They fit perfectly, are in black with padding and look smart and if you have a Go920 there's a separate pocket for the remote control - job done!
Deluxe Leather Case? Er... No. April 13, 2008 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I try to refrain from posting reviews unless the product is either astoundingly good or just unbelievably dire. And given my Star Rating at the top, I think we can accept it's going to be the latter.
This is an official TomTom product, and that was the main reason I bought it. Better to have the official product than some third rate, low quality third party product, right?
The only word in the product name that is accurate is "Leather". It's certainly covered front and back, although it has to be said that this leather appears very low quality.
As for the word "Deluxe" I believe that manufactures have a different definition to the one I use.
-adjective "of special elegance, sumptuousness, or fineness; high or highest in quality, luxury, etc."
That's how I understand it, but the manufactures of this product believe "deluxe" is when you use leather or maybe it's for the price tag? The stitching on the leather is poor. The cheap plastic frame and clasp certainly isn't high quality, in fact it's not even well designed. And the Leather Wrist Strap attaches to the case by a thin piece of string, which doesn't feel safe or secure.
Finally, the product name tells us this is a case, but not just any case, a case for a TomTom GO 720 no less. This would then give us the impression that said device would fit neatly into said case.
It's at this point you'll descend beyond disappoint into utter confusion. You'll try to fit the device into the case and will fail. You'll try again but it still won't fit right. You'll then look at the packaging, assuming that it's the wrong product, and be utterly dumbfounded to find that it says TT GO 720 on the box.
Then you'll try to fit it again, using an unhealthy amount of force, and this time it'll just fit, but it'll also turn it's self on. You will then notice that there is no way to turn the device off while it's in the case, and so will then have to force the device out of the case again, and turn it off. Unfortunately, it's turns itself back on again when you force it back in.
Out of sheer frustration, you'll come on to Amazon and read the product reviews that you're going to start to wish you had read, from the very beginning.
Finally, you'll curse TomTom to hell, and kick yourself for paying 18 to Amazon for this completely useless, badly flawed, ill conceived, poorly manufactured, utterly cheap piece of tat.
I still don't understand how a mistake so fundamental could have been overlooked and the item mass produced without some kind of product testing. It's certainly not fit for the purpose it was sold for.
Worse still I can't think of anything it would be good for. It's too light to be a door stop and the wrong shape to be a drinks coaster. Maybe I could throw it at my girlfriend to annoy her? It certainly annoyed me.
TomTom GO 720 Deluxe Leather Case April 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought that buying the `Deluxe' version would get me a superior case. How wrong can you be! like everyone else who bought one,I found it impossible to close properly and fasten, when you sqeezed it in the case the on/off button was pressed so switching it back on.I Should have read the reviews first!Save yourself some hassel don`t buy it.
TomTom "Deluxe" Case March 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item should not be marketed, it is not fit for purpose. I have returned it for refund. I suggest Amazon stop trying to sell it.

Total Rubbish - Don't waste your time or money March 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Amazon should not be selling this item. Impossibly snug fit with TomTom Go 720. Difficult to open, impossible to close. Not fit for purpose. Cheap and nasty finish. Worst product ever bought from Amazon. Have now sent back and will go for the the cheaper non deluxe case which gets much better reviews
