Seinheiser Hd202 are great May 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these to go with my Samsung YP-U3 MP3 player and the results have passed all expectations. The HD202 have a bias towards base but they are still clear in the mid-range and treble, and using the graphic equaliser on the YP-U3 player I can get exactly the sort of sound I want. I have other headphones which I use with my 4000 hi-fi system costing 34 and 65 and these HD202s are just as good. If you are wondering what to get, get these - you won't be disappointed, especially at the price.
Great sound, comfortable March 20, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered these for use with my Ipod at college, etc. First of all, i wasn't expecting them to be that good (for 12), but the sound quality is great, everything is clear and it isolates outside sounds great. If you are looking for headphones with so much bass, that its the only thing you can hear, this might not be for you, but they do have a very good sound, with realistic bass, they are comfortable enough, and not too flashy looking, so you won't get mugged on the street for wearing them.
Thumbs up! January 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very pleased with the headphones. Only downside being the length of the wire! In any case, it makes my journey to work so much better. Blanks out most of the chatter around!

My mate and I are DJ's. We both play in clubs together quite a bit. Lots of noise as you can imagine! He bought some other 120 pair of cans and when i tried them on in the club, I found I had to turn the volume to full and still it wasn't loud enough to cut through all the noise. His had clarity but no punch. I went into my local DJ store and asked the guy for a relatively good set of "punchy" cans and he came up with these. I have to say - hes the man... what a difference. I can use these in a club at half volume and its louder and clearer than my mates ones ( at about a 6th of the price ..... I've had mine now for about 2 years, and they're still going great. I've just ordered another pair off here, as back -up in-case they stop making them... I might actually get a 3rd come to think of it.
Great suond for the money. Not the most comfortable though. June 26, 2007 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
I bought these in a fit of annoyance one lunchtime, after being forced to listen to a very under-worked colleague sitting behind me drone on for a couple of hours about his holidays to a friend. I marched straight into an audiophile shop and said "give me a pair of your cheapest yet best sounding phones!" And this is what they came up with.
First off I can say that they sound *excellent* for the price. You'd be hard pushed to find anything better under 20. They are loud enough to be driven quite easily by an mp3 player, and the usual Sennheiser super-long cable I always find a plus, so you can move around or sit across the room from the hi-fi if you want to (assuming you have a reasonably small room).
The only thing I'm not so keen on is the comfort. I can't wear them for more than an hour or so before getting earache. I dont have a big head, yet these press quite hard on my ears and no amount of stretching the head band makes any difference. It's a personal thing though - I'd rather have foam-covered earpieces that lose something in the sound isolation, as opposed to these vinyl/leather affairs that make a strong seal but feel as though they're vacuum-pumping my eardrums.
Still, you cant go wrong for this price.
