This CHARGEPAK has been superseded by their C6L CHARGEPAK, currently in short supply (Nov 2007)

its lasted 6 months-it now does not hold its charge-cant return it to amazon-dont buy from here!!!!!!

I've only had this for a couple of days but am very impressed. It is great to be able to carry my Evoke 3 around with me. The cost is a bit much but it's supposed to last a few years. We shall see. Overall I'm very impressed with Pure products generally.

Be warned about the rechargeable battery pack, the ChargePak+, sold by Pure Digital. Two battery packs supplied to me for my Evoke-3 have failed so far. The first one generated so much heat that I deemed it to be a FIRE RISK. A warm battery is normal but the excess heat from my first battery almost deformed the rear casing of the DAB radio.
I am now having to return a second battery pack to Pure Digital as the replacement unit has failed too.

This at first glance seems expensive - But - Try to find 6 4000mAh Ni-MH C cells and a charger for this price. And if you do they have to be removed to charge them. The ChargePAK at about [...] is good value and a lot easier than using rechargeable cells. Also here you have the excellent Amazon service and free postage to boot if you so desire. VERY HAPPY ;-)
