stunning in it's simplicity and quality - spent 20 mins picking up all the breakables that had scattered around the room when i tried it on full volume....what a piece of kit for the money!!!

i had it set up within 15 minutes of opening the box, and the sound quality with a DVD was amazing. the picture was pretty crisp too. unfortunately, only my 1st generation ipod nano is compatible, the ipod touch is not compatible wit the system. also, for a first time with a surround sound system, there are way too many buttons on the remote, so it is a bit complicated at first.This is great if you cant afford a higher priced one (like me) but if you can splash out get a better one.

Bought this item off amazon as over 60 cheaper than currys, argos and comet.
Ordered using free super saver delivery on the thursday night and got the free speaker stands and they were both delivered on the following wk on the tuesday. credit to amazon even though both packages were coming from different warehouses and via different couriers (city link and hdnl) they both arrived on the same day!
This is good as theres nothing worse than having come on different days.
Right the product looks the part, sounds the part and is really easy to set-up. I have connected via hdmi direct to my tv. Unfortunately I cannot have digital sound through normal tv as my recnetly new purchased toshiba 37" lcd tv doesnt have an optical connection.
I can connect via scart phono though but wouldnt sound as good.
All in all for the price i would say your not gonna find a better quality surround system. Of course you can get better but at a more expensive price.
Bass on these is loud, and sound quality is really good with the option to turn dynamic bass on and off and also a night mode.
Leads supplied may not be the best but are very long, and stretch to the other side of our 16ft living room!
recommend without a doubt, buy now!!

Saw this item in Argos Catalogue for 199.99 and loved the look and spec of it but thought I could get it a bit cheaper online, didnt think it would be 60 cheaper!! Ordered it on monday 22 sep and got it 2 days later. Didnt take much time to plug it in and it sounds awesome!!! I got quite scared when watching Saving Private Ryan and heard gunshot left, right and centre! Ordered Fisual Digital Optical Cable now for my Sky + HD box. No prizes for guessing where im ordering it from!! Thanks Amazon!
No home cinema sound on tv September 30, 2008
Sony DAV-DZ260 - 5.1 ch - DVD Home Cinema System - Black
Can anyone help with my problem. The kit works fine, except I cannot obtain digital sound on the tv channels through the freeview box. I have a HDMI cable from the system to the tv, LCD Hitachi, which does not have a correspoding connection for a digital optical/coaxial cord. The system will give surround sound when on analogue, but not digital. I have tried different cords without success. Help! please.
