I'm a total Bosch convert April 15, 2008 i wrote this (Bucks) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Now I have to be honest, we actually ordered a cheaper Zanussi tumble drier and following some problems were 'upgraded' to this drier. I'm so glad that happened - it is fantastic! br / br /The sensor is extremely accurate and the machine beeps when your washing is ready. It continues to beep every few minutes to remind you. There is a different type of beep for when the water and filter need changing. br / br /The drum is very big and a large load of washing easily fits in. br / br /The programmes are easy to use with lots of options for different types of laundry. br / br /If I had to be critical, I'd say that the water has been known to slosh out a little when I'm emptying the cartridge. However, this could be because we have our tumble drier on a shelf at waist height. br / br /We now have a dishwasher and tumble drier that are Bosch. I'm a total convert. Worth every extra penny.
A Fabulous Machine March 20, 2008 GottaNewTent 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I used to have a Hotpoint tumble dryer. It was fine, it did its job well so long as you set it going for the correct length of time. br / br /After it came to the end of its life, I did a bit of research, and bought this Bosch. And haven't regretted it for a single second. It's just brilliant - no more guessing how long to set the timer for - oh no, instead you set the dial for how dry you want it to be (to be honest, for me, this is usually the "very dry" option) and off it goes, until it gets to the point at which it believes it's reached the desired level of dryness. And it almost always gets it spot on. The only exception being when it's got a double bed bedding set in - often the bottom sheet and all the pillowcases get bunched up inside the duvet cover and then there are a few damp spots, but easily rectified by separating and giving the machine another go. br / br /The fluff catcher and condenser bottle are dead easy to empty - so easy in fact that I do actually bother to empty them regularly! br / br /I cannot recommend this tumble dryer highly enough - in fact I'm about to buy a second one as a wedding present for my brother!!
Love it. December 3, 2007 spore frog (London, England) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I concur with the other reviewer. I have had this tumble drier for three weeks now and I cannot imagine how I lived without one. This one is just about perfect. It's quick, too - it dries a load of cottons faster than my washing machine can wash the next lot. br / br /I particularly like the way you can choose between iron dry/cupboard dry/very dry for both cottons synthetics; and I like the option of running the load on a lower temperature. And I like the lights which tell you how far into the drying cycle it is. br / br /Both the fluff filter the heat exchanger are very easy to access clean. br / br /But the biggest reason I chose this particular model (after anally researching Which? Best Buys) was because it is straightforward to hook it up to the plumbing, so that the condensed water goes straight down the drain and you never need empty the water bottle. br / br /I love my washing machine so much it's embarrassing. I don't quite love this drier as much, but it's close :-)
Almost life-changing November 13, 2007 Peter Lee (Manchester ,United Kingdom) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
After buying one of these I found myself telling friends that tumble dryers are man's greatest invention. Sick of seeing washing hanging up in the utility room at home for a week before it was almost dry enough to iron I bought one of these and it has been fantastic. br / br /Reasonably quiet in operation it is a sensor dryer, which means you don't set a timer to say when it stops but instead set how dry you want it to be (iron, cupboard, or "very dry") and the machine switches itself off when it gauges your washing to be sufficiently dry, presumably by measuring how much steam comes off it. So far I've found myself setting it to "very dry" most of the time and everything comes out perfectly dry, not to mention nice and warm. The only thing I've had to put in a couple of times is usually the duvet cover and pillowcase set, but that's only because the pillowcases end up inside the duvet and the whole thing ends up in a huge ball! The dryer does have a reversing action, but the duvet cover must just be hungry I suppose. br / br /Apart from the single control dial the other two buttons are touch sensitive and work well. A small panel of lights indicates how dry your washing is, and when the end of cycle is reached the machine occasionally gives the clothes a quick tumble for a few seconds just to make sure that everything doesn't get tangled up or creased. Two other lights indicate whether the fluff filter (easily accessed at the bottom of the hatch) or the water tank (a big drawer at the top-left of the front of the machine) need emptying, or you can just do what I do and empty both after each load. br / br /It should also be noted that the machine comes with a 2-year guarantee from Bosch. A leaflet which comes with the dryer tells you how you activate this... and best of all it is free. br / br /A fabulous machine.
