5 out of 5 stars Comfortable, quick and sexy   October 31, 2008

I wanted a better mouse for gaming than the bog standard Logitech infrared I had and a quick search on Amazon brought this up. I read the previous customer reviews and went for it. Can't say I'm sorry. Once you have sorted the sensitivity out (it is OH SO sensitive) you'll love it. br / br /Sleek, comfortable in the hand and gorgeous looking. And the side buttons, which I usually find get in the way rather than help, are well positioned so as not to do that at all. br / br /Go for it. You won't regret it.

Ergonomically fantastic excellent build quality, very well placed thumb buttons, believe the hype, cannot reccommend highly enough.

5 out of 5 stars Mouse gone mad   September 12, 2008
Techno Ted (England)
After just playing Team Fortress 2 for a couple weeks, I relised I needed a good gaming mouse and after hearing good reviews about the Deathadder I decided to order it. br / br /Now after getting use to a sluggish wireless mouse, getting a hold of this Deathadder feels like trying to control an overly excited dog out on a walk, thankfully you do get use to this and coupled with the exactmat it is a very accurate responsive mouse, well deserved 5 star item.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic mouse   August 22, 2008

Being a gamer ive gone through a fair amount of mice, and I have to say Razer have been the best ive ever come across. br /All the other reviews will give you the information you need, from its sensitivity, practical cable length, SEXUAL looks and not too expensive. br /Software/firmware is a doozy to install/use, and offers total customisation. You really do need to be a complete idiot to not be able to use it. br /You will need to dedicate a USB port for it, if you plug the mouse into a different port after youve set it up, it wont work. br /Hardly a big deal really. br /When paired with the RAZER TARANTULA GAMING KEYBOARD - UK, your peripherals really will never look better, and your fragging will never be easier! br /That said, the lachesis is only 20 extra.... and offers more buttons and 200% sensitivity...

4 out of 5 stars A better gaming experience.   August 9, 2008
Huw Randall-Smith (Wales)
The DeathAdder is the first mouse I've used that is specialised for gaming as I was always sceptical of the extent it would improve my game and since I never had any major problems using standard mice. Despite this, I began to play more and would occasionally get frustrated by poor tracking and thus decided to buy the aforementioned mouse, which arrived in very cool packaging - you find this with Razer - a few days later. br / br /Very soon after using my new mouse I noticed the marked difference in speed and precision over the old dell mouse I had been using. As long as your mouse surface (I recommend the Razer Mantis mouse mat) isn't terrible, the DeathAdder should glide with ease and make moving the cursor extremely effortless. The amount of settings you can alter was slightly intimidating at first and I don't tend to use the Razer control panel a huge amount, but it does allow for a very versatile mouse. br / br /The mouse itself is fairly large, but fits my hand perfectly well and does not get uncomfortable during prolonged use. I have noticed that it does sometimes become harder to use when your hands become sweaty, but this is a minor criticism and has never proved a serious problem for me. The buttons on the side are very useful and easily reached with the thumb and can be customized for whatever purpose. Furthermore, the mouse wheel is large and easy to scroll, although pressing it in can be a challenge at times. The DeathAdder also excels in the looks and feel department with its flashing blue lights - which can be turned off via the control centre - and smooth 'skin'. br / br /While the mouse itself is great I encountered difficulties installing the mouse drivers and this would be my only serious criticism. It took a lot of restarts, `googling' and swearing before I had managed to update the firmware and drivers, which fixed certain problems with the control centre. It seemed as though many people have had similar problems and therefore finding a solution wasn't hugely difficult, although I'd have liked it to have been an easier process. If you're running vista it might be worth fully looking up how to install the drivers before you order, or install. br / br /In short, the DeathAdder is a very slick, well designed and powerful mouse that will make you feel the difference should you decide to purchase one. I've never looked back since I started using it and hope that it lasts me as long as I need it. br /
