4 out of 5 stars Brilliant camera   July 21, 2008
The camera is brilliant. br /Very efficient! The picture quality is excellent, and it is easy to use. br /The only thing I would say is I went on holiday to Florida (temperature 95 degrees)and often the camera wouldn't turn on! br /The camera has a video on it but it doesn't have sound. br /It can fit in your coat pocket or handbag so you can carry it around br /easily. Overall, I would recommend this camera.

The Nikon coolpix L4 is a great little camera. It's easy to use and with 4 mega pixels it takes good clear photographs. You can take it straight out of the box, load the batteries and shoot. It's that simple. I bought one for my daughter. I was so impressed with it,I bought one for myself. For the price I can't fault it.

3 out of 5 stars Poor focus   January 1, 2007

I bought this as a replacement for my Nikon 3100 because the battery cover cracked after 2 years, thinking it would be up to the standards of that model. However I have been very disappointed at its autofocus which seems to only focus on objects about half of the time. Maybe I should just find a 3100 again, because I never had any problems with it.

3 out of 5 stars Nice photos, shame about the design flaw...   October 26, 2006

Like the title says, this camera takes great photos and I really liked it, but there seems to be a design flaw with the battery compartment. The springs in it are strong and force the batteries upwards against the cover, and in time this broke the cover off, cracking the camera body and rendering it unusable without using gaffa tape. Shame really as I did like it.

Bought this for my partner, who wanted a small camera for taking snaps. She's very pleased with it. Pictures are very clear and sharp, with good, bright colours. I reckon it's every bit as good as my two year old Canon that cost four times as much. I wasn't aware of the absence of sound, but then I think the movie mode on these cameras is only a bit of fun.
