Product Description The Xacti CA65?s waterproof and shockproof design means you can enjoy filming your family and friends at the beach, by the swimming pool or on the ski slopes without worrying about the camcorder getting wet from rain or snow, or your accidentally dropping it. This camcorder is primarily designed for use by those of you who enjoy extreme sports, because it?s waterproof to up to 1.5 m. The Xacti CA65 is no ordinary camcorder - it comes with a magnificent CCD sensor that?s able to capture the action on camera in resolutions of 6 megapixels, and can also record videos directly in MPEG4-AVC and H.264 formats on an SD card. In addition, the CA65 is compatible with 8 GB SDHC memory cards, which are sold separately, so you can save up to 80 minutes of film. Thanks to its digital image stabiliser, it corrects blur; and with its super macro mode of just 1 cm, you can take extremely detailed photos. Also equipped with a 5x optical zoom for precise focusing and a 2.5? LCD screen, the Xacti CA65 is sure to make a big splash in the world of digital camcorders!

Versatile and good all round July 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Much better video quality than anticipated. Controls could be more user friendly. Battery life a bit short but quick charge system. Advise to buy at least a second battery. Not great video in dimmer lighting. Would recommend it for all round family use. Good value product.
Superb waterproof camcorder March 4, 2008 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I had a look out for a waterproof camcorder for ages. I do a lot of river kayaking and sea kayaking and need a compact waterproof camcorder/camera for that. This one is just the deal, I can film and take photos and the quality is pretty good. I use Adobe Premium Pro to edit the movies and even when I increase the size to 720x576 it still holds up nice. Watching the clips on the telly looks fine too.
It's great! February 15, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
You just can't get an easier camera to use. You literally point and press the the video or the photo button! There aren't loads of buttons crammed on it although there is an extensive menu built into it, for example editing pictures, removing red-eye etc. It takes fantastic photos and great quality videos. It's easy to load pictures onto your computer with the software and accessories provided. It is a great camera and the only downside for me is that sometimes it can be a bit tricky operating it with one-thumb especially if you've got nails!!
Fantastic little camera February 3, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I LOVE THIS THING! Just got back from an amazing 30s to Mars gig. The camera was great. Being able to zoom in and out (optical zoom) while filming is brilliant. Less than ideal circumstances in a manic gig but the picture and sound quality were surprisingly good. Of course it is not as good as a 500 quid camera but it is tiny, good pics, good stills and beer proof ! The software provided is great for PC's- I have a mac though. Only gripe - no lens cover. Looking forward to taking it to Florida .
