Product Description The Cyber-Shot DSC-T200 from Sony packs in all the same technologies as its predecessor, the T100, but has an even larger touch screen! The Cyber-Shot DSC-T200 is loaded with powerful features, such as an 8-megapixel CCD sensor, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 5x optical zoom, which is non-retracting to preserve the camera?s ultra-slim form, and a 3.5? LCD touch screen. Not only does this screen provide excellent visibility as you set up for a photo, it also lets you navigate easily through the camera?s many functions and touch up your snaps. Thanks to its built-in face-detection and smile-detection modes, the Cyber-Shot DSC-T200 will automatically take a photo when your subject is looking his best! It is even able to regulate the lighting in a photo for even brightness. The ultra-compact Cyber-Shot DSC-T200 also includes Sony?s Super SteadyShot image stabiliser and has a high sensitivity for clear, bright photos in any kind of lighting. What?s more, if you own a plasma or LCD television set, you can connect your camera to the TV via the HD output and share your photos on a big screen (HD cable optional). The easy-to-use Cyber-Shot DSC-T200 puts all of Sony?s digital photo technology into the palm of your hand!

Amazing !! April 24, 2008 Ankit Agarwal (London, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I put a lot of research before buying a camera as anyone would do and honestly, this range of cameras has mixed reviews. I loved the style and design of this camera as soon as I saw it however, I read the reviews at zdnet which, for me, provides the most accurate reviews. According to them T100 is the best out of T200 and T300 with T300 having major picture quality issues. Hence, I decided to go for T200 because it had significant advantages over T100 and T300. 1) The Look- From the photos I was amazed and when I saw it in real I fell in love. It looks amazing and makes all other digital cameras look like toys !! 2) Picture Quality- The most important feature ! Well, I have been using this camera for over a month and I have really taken LOTS of photos. All of them were amazing and not even one had problem. Abt the complaints of Red-eye brightness etc problems mentioned in another reviews-- well there are numerous functions provided to modify the images taken. So if at all by some mishap ur image comes out improper then u can simply modify it within the cam. Trust me its great in that respect too. 3) Interface & Control- The 3.5" display looks fantastic and the usage is very easy. I browsed through the manual for 30 mins max. and I was able to get all the functionality properly. The touch screen makes this camera feel even more advanced. For me 8.1 Megapixels are more than enough for mindblowing pictures for normal/personal use. I love the camera- its compact, looks great and takes amazing pictures !! Want anything else from a digital camera ??
Excellent April 4, 2008 M. E. George 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I spent a long time researching because i wanted to find the perfect camera, I read some bad and some good reviews about the t200 but i eventually bought it and im extremely happy with my purchase. The picture quality is great and there are loads of settings so you can get just the right shot. Even in low lighting the pictures still come out excellent. I love the touch screen and it means a 3.5 inch LCD which i also love! My favourite feature is the close up macro shots you can get. I highly recommend the this camera!
Sony T200 - awesome! January 3, 2008 D. Pepper (London) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This camera is possibly the best compact out there for size and spec. I spent a few days looking at different cameras. This is the best by far. Cracking pics and very easy to use. I ordered mine shortly after christmas and came very fast. Very impressed! Great price too. 269 in the Sony shop and other outlets.
Cool Camera. Red Eye a Problem November 27, 2007 totheworld (Scotland) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
I read a lot of reviews before biting the bullet and buying this camera. I had a Sony camera previous to this and really liked it, so stuck to Sony again, especially as Sony seems to have the fastest shutter reaction times, which I thought was important for taking pictures of kids. I really like the 3.5" touch screen. The menus are easy to use, etc. The quality of the movies it takes are really good, and I've found that it is so much easier than taking my dedicated camcorder with me. Just get a big memory card. It's a great pocket size. The smile shutter is quite cool, but pretty much a gimmick. The outdoor pictures are really good, and the indoor ones are okay. There are a couple of niggles which I am a little disappointed with .. Because of the compact size and the placement of the lens, you have to be careful not to accidentally put your finger over the lens. Red-eye is the biggest disappointment. Even with red-eye reduction turned on, almost all my photos taken with flash have some degree of red-eye. It is a real pain, having to use software to take out the red-eye. In fact I would even go so far as to say that I don't think the red-eye reduction does much good. In summary, I like this camera, but I am very disappointed with the amount of red-eye. (My old, cheaper, Sony camera was better). However, great looking camera, easy to use, I like the large touch screen, and I think the movie quality and sound is excellent. Overall I would recommend this camera, but not if red-eye is a big issue.
