Product Description The Logitech Cordless 2.4 GHz Presenter helps you focus on connecting with your audience, not your computer. Take advantage of its 50-foot range to control your presentations while moving around an auditorium with confidence. A built-in LCD timer with vibration alerts at five and two minutes helps you effectively manage your time. No software is required-just plug it in and it works. The built-in controls for 'Launch Slideshow', 'Slide Forward', 'Slide Back', 'Black Screen' and 'Volume' put the most-needed ...

Just what I was hoping for October 10, 2008 Roger Hawes (Bristol) This unit is excellent, does everyting I was expecting plus more (the blank screen feature). One of the reviews was not happy about the timer but that has to be a very picky comment - who normally times time to indivdual minutes?
Really nice gadget March 17, 2008 Phil 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
To give a really short feedback (I don't like reading 10.000 word reviews just to find out, that the product is alright): br / br /-comes with USB dongle, which fits into the presenter when not used. br /-comes with Timer in 5 min rythem (5, 10,15 min...you want to change minute-wise? have you ever given a presentation, 12.5 min long? no? got a point there, right? br /-comes in nice Logitech-style neopren case. br /-Laserpointer incl. br /-Vibration 2 minutes before the time ends. br /-Keys are:Forward, Backward, Black screen, F5 (starts presentation), Volume control (+ / -). br /-More than the usual 2m distance to dongle. br / br /Everything you need - definitley worth the price. Even if the other presenters can do the same - this one is really nice.
Restrictive timer, weak vibrate and non-backlit display spoil a great product June 4, 2007 T. A. Pritchard (Birmingham) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
The Presenter works brilliantly in most respects ... but Logitech should have invested more effort in designing the timer functions and display. After all, this isn't the cheapest of the bunch. br /Here's my take on this otherwise really useful gadget: br /1) I don't find the timer display readable in a darkened room - there's no backlight. OK, you don't want a backlight permanently on, but a hold-down button might help. br /2) The Presenter vibrates to indicate that 5 minutes and 2 minutes of the preset time are remaining - but the vibration is rather weak, and, in my opinion, could be missed easily during a presentation. br /3) I think the manufacturer's technical information supplied on the Amazon site should make it clear that you can only set increments of 5 minutes for a presentation timing (so you get 5, 10, 15, 20 and so on timings in minutes). I train presentations, and for very valid reasons we use an 8 or 9 minute length for the presentations. I don't want to have to work around it by setting 10 minutes and waiting a couple of minutes before we begin, or whatever. It seems like a simple feature to build in, and I am disappointed with the lack of control the user gets over the timer function. br /4) Packaging - this remark is addressed to so many manufacturers - it's time to move away from the potentially hand-slashing, flesh-tearing moulded plastic packaging used. I'll bet I'm not the only one who has cut his fingers to ribbons opening a typical small electronic device. Provide an easy-open method - and mark it clearly! Or enclose a pair of butchers gloves and industrial-strength shears with each product.
Superb, if you do any presenting at all, just buy one! December 5, 2006 Simon Taylor (Farnborough, England) 26 out of 27 found this review helpful
I've had mine for a year now, and it's superb! We have others in the office, and they don't interfere, this has some sort of unique ID so that other people doing presentations don't advance your own slides! br / br /Built in laser, aaa batteries last for ages (unlike normal laser pointers), and it just plugs in a goes. I use it on other systems if I don't use my own computer, never failed, and everyone who uses it buys one! br / br /I have used it on Macs and PCs, it actually ships with no software - but then it does not need any, it truly is plug and play. Not plug and pray like many devices!
