Have I got a different DX7400 to everyone else? November 8, 2008 Nikon Lady (uk) I am a semi professional photographer, and have had this printer for about six months. Admittedly I send most of my work to a professional lab, but I have used this printer for many of my portfolio photographs, A4 and smaller. I use genuine Epson ink and papers and I have had fantastic prints from it. If you don't print too many A4 size photos I find the inks last quite a long time. For around 50, it is amazing value, especially as the scan and copy functions work very well.
Pretty Good All In One June 18, 2008 John Kimble (N. Ireland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this printer after my old Packhard printer finally bit the bullet. br / br /Although I think that this is generally a good 3 in 1, like some other reviewers I agree that the paper tends to stick out a bit to much in the feed tray, although I have not experienced any problems with paper jams. The DX7400 prints quickly and at high quality. I have found the photocopy facilty easy to use but have not had the same joy sizing my copies with the scan function which has cost me quite a lot of ink! br / br /Another problem was that the DX7400 did not come with the USB lead needed to connect the printer to the computer. As my older printer did not need one of these leads I had to go out and buy a new one of these at a cost of 15. I do accept that it did say this on the box but it was in tiny writting and I only noticed it when I got it home. br / br /All in all I think that for the money, the DX7400 is quite a good 3 in 1. The ink cartridges life spans are adequate and they can be replaced individually. however the problem of low ink is somewhat helped as the DX7400 allows colours which are running low to be printed by mixing together the other remaining colours. br / br /So all in all not bad at all.
