Bought this item after reading the other reviews and recognising a common problem. I have had a Sony MZ-N710 for a couple of years, but progressively it has had problems reading discs, or reading some tracks but not others. Having run this cleaner through a couple of times, I'm back to full working order again! 9.99 seems a good deal given that I was considering getting a new player... Can thoroughly recommend this item!

ok, my friend found his MD not recognising his MD no more! so we went to the sony centre and was told it will cost 50 to take someone to look at it!! just to look!!! but the sales assistant recommended to buy the cleaner! and my friend use it and live happily ever after with his MD now working!! i also brought the product because i needed it to clean!!!

Abstract: Absolutely brilliant, it might cost some but really, its worth it.pI have a Panasonic Minidisc SJ-MR220 - perhaps outdated now but a superb piece of electronics. After around 7 months of use, I started having problems with Skipping and eventually the unit wouldnt recognise Minidiscs inserted. It was still under warranty so I sent it for repair. Came back with having a faulty optical unit replaced but then after a few months the same problem started (now with System Errors!) occuring only the 1 year guarantee was finished.pThats it I thought, so I started looking for another Minidisc until I read the above reviews. I thought might aswell give it a go, but I didnt want to order just this via Amazon. So i went out looking for it in the High Street stores - I was finding cheaper makes for around ** but I knew that the Sony would be the best bet. Found the Sony cleaner for ** (2/3 of the price bought through Amazon!) and stuck it in not expecting much.pAdmittedly, it wouldnt pick up the Minidisc but it was spinning it up - which I believe did it a load of good because I reinserted it and voila! It picked up the Minidisc and I "cleaned" my MD player 3 or 4 times and it now works perfect!pIn conclusion, it might be more expensive than other makes, but it is worth it! It really is! If Sony cant do it, then noone can!pp.s. I owe around 100 to the guys above for the money they saved me - thanks!

I have had one of these Sony MD lens cleaners for about 18 months now and it still works fine. I regularly use it and I find it keeps my Sony MDS-JE470 and Sharp MD-MT88 in top working condition. Unlike my sister who has had problems due to not using a lens cleaner on her player. I had previously used another lesser known brand lens cleaner but found it wouldn't work in my Sony deck due to it not having a full plastic case enclosure like a normal Mini Disc. The Sony lens cleaner had no such problems and I highly recommend it over other cheaper cleaners.

Before I bought this product I had been having problems with my MD player. It wouldn#8217;t load the disc and if it did there would be gaps in the music. I was sceptical about buying the cleaner but I am extremely glad I did because it has solved all the problems and also left my MD player with a clearer crisper sound.pSo I would highly recommend this product if you have been having difficulties with your MD player.
