I have had these for two weeks now. Noise cancellation is rather good although I was expecting the speach to be canceled too. You will not hear your aircon or cars passing by but you will hear your mates chatting at work. The "talk through" function is useless. If I was to choose now I would go for the cheaper PXC 350 as the only difference is the lack of the "talk through". br / br /Also keep in mind that you will need rechargeable batteries. I use one AAA per day on average. br / br /Good product although a bit overpriced.

I purchased these headphones today for travelling using around the home, as shortly I will be flying UK to Australia for a holiday needed something to help endure the journey. So I did some research on the internet, found that the Sennheiser PXC 450 came out on top. Tried them out 5 star quality perfect sound quality along with being solidly built. I connected Sennheiser PXC 450 headphones to my Sony NWZ-A818 to enjoy listening to Dire Straits Brothers in Arms in sheer perfection tranquility, as well as Kevin B****Y Wilson as I enjoy a good old fashioned laugh as well. I also love the talk through mode so you can listen to your favourite albums talk to people directly at the same time. The headphones also have noisegard which really reduces background noise such as aircraft engines other peoples babies crying talking etc, I tried these out at home I live within walking distance of the M1 M25 with everyday noises around the house these noises where greatly reduced with these headphones. br /The Sennheiser PXC 450 also has a detachable cable so the Sennheiser PXC 450 can also be used as hearing protectors, only requires 1 AAA battery but 2 are supplied great for long haul flights. The Sennheiser PXC 450 also comes with 1 x 6.3mm stereo jack, 1 x in-flight (2 x 3.5mm mono jack carry case. My only gripe is that the headphones are a little on the big side but this easily offset with superb sound quality so I am still giving the Sennheiser PXC 450 10/10.
Great headphones for work in noisy office June 6, 2008

If you work in noisy office next to busy road and with lots of noisy computers and noisy people and you work requires concentration - these are headphones for you. If you usually listen to your favourite music while working you already know that wearing headphones few hours a day makes you a bit tired - Sennheiser PXC 450 solves this problem. br /Noise cancelling doesn't cancel everything, don't expect any miracles but with these headphones you can listen to the music with much lower volume without being distracted even by somebody next to you shouting on the phone. br /The sound is maybe a little bit to warm but this is just my personal preferences, apart from that sound quality is very good, not as good as eg. Sennheiser HD 580 but PXC 450 are not studio headphones. Battery life is too short, but if you use rechargeable cells it shouldn't be a problem. Even if battery goes flat simple switch to bypass mode and use as normal headphones. br /I have got these headphones for about 3 months and now I cannot imagine working without it, these headphones become an essential tool like good quality PC display or chair which doesn't give me pain in my back. Since I got these headphones I come back home from work more relaxed and not as tired as before. br /

Hey!! Man got my Sennheiser PXC450 really comfortable to wear beautiful smooth rich sound, like the travel pack that comes with it handy when your on the move.Happy with speed of the order got them within four days overall excellent headphones excellent service thanks.
