The speakers were ideal for popping into my holiday bag given the luggage weight restrictions on certain budget airlines. They take a 4 pack of AAA batteries. The sound quality was impressive for a basic little item. I ran my Ipod nano every day on the speakers for a week whilst enjoying the outdoor life and one set of batteries lasted. Well recommended.
