Better than the reviews might indicate November 14, 2008 Steven Bell (Dumfries, Scotland) I had a look at the reviews here and wasn't too enthusiastic but eventually went for them because I didn't want something over my ears so I could wear sunglasses for cycling. br / br /I've been pleasantly suprised by them. br / br /* A lot of people complained about the fit and I was curious to see what the mechanism was. Turns out that the "twist" bit just wedges against your ear to help stop the 'phone part falling out. I don't see how anyone could have particular problems with this so presume that those who do are in the minority (and if this is the case should be entitled to a refund) br /* I have had one of the small plastic covers lost but that was my own fault by shoving them into my pocket with lots of other stuff. I do this all the time and only one has fallen off in a month so I think if you take care of them it shouldn't be too much of a problem br /* Sound quality is fine. I'm no expert but I imagine correct for the price. They are good quality but not anywhere near top of the range (and built for sport!) br /* They have performed well, cycling in wind and rain (never mind bucketloads of sweat!) and in the gym br /* only little reservation i've had is with length of cable leading to ears. One is longer than the other, so designed to be clipped on one side (left). Fine but the longer one gets in the way sometimes and the shorter can be a little too short. I really just need to learn to clip it in the right place but due to rubber cover for waterproofing the longer cable covers my mouth sometimes br / br /All in all a good purchase and a real step up from iPod standard.
Good sound, but there are comfort issues June 27, 2008 Gihan Marasingha (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I mainly bought these for use with my Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman Phone. The sound quality is good, and the volume control is essential for my purpose (Google "W810i hiss" to find out why). The main drawbacks for me are: br / br /(a) The discomfort. It does get better after a while, but is never really comfortable. br / br /(b) The little rubber bits have a tendency to fall out. Fortunately, the MX55VC comes with a few a spares.
